Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that you recently added commentary to an article, Marco Pierre White. While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments belong on the article's accompanying talk page. If you post your comments there, other editors working on the same article will notice and may respond to them, and your comments will not disrupt the flow of the article. However, keep in mind that even on the talk page of an article, you should limit your discussion to improving the article. Article talk pages are not the place to discuss opinions of the subject of articles, nor are such pages a forum. Thank you. Joyous! Noise! 21:40, 16 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I saw my changes were taken down even though I'm only pointing out where the article clearly lies. Marco Pierre White has never been awarded a Michelin star, no chef has ever awarded a Michelin star because they don't award them to chefs, they are awarded to restaurants. Even if he owns the restaurant the star is not his, its the restaurants! It's based on every aspect of the restaurant and not just the food. You are perpetuating a lie. 80.44.20.191 (talk) 21:57, 16 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

So perpetuating a lie is more contructive than me telling the truth? 80.44.20.191 (talk) 22:00, 16 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, can I please have an explanation of why you're sticking to what you now know is a lie? 80.44.20.191 (talk) 22:01, 16 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again. I don't have an interest in perpetuating a lie, but I also don't want to leave what is basically an editorial comment in an article. If you look at the first message I left, the problem is that you're leaving a comment ABOUT the article IN the article. If you don't like the way the sentence is worded, just fix it without commmenting about it. Joyous! Noise! 22:32, 16 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I've now changed it (again) to reflect the truth, I've taken the time to not ruin the sentence. Marco claims to have been awarded three Michelin stars. This is not true as Michelin have never given a star to a chef, that is not what they are for. Changing this back will be purposefully lying. Marco Pierre White has never been awarded a Michelin star let alone three. I have no problem with the way it is worded I have a problem with the fact it is a lie, in fact your complaints about my edits were that they were not worded properly and were 'an editorial comment', this has now been amended and I expect this article to continue to reflect the truth instead of being changed back to what you now know is a lie. 80.44.20.191 (talk) 13:22, 9 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

'In 1995, he became the first British chef to be awarded three Michelin stars' that is not true, you are now purposefully lying. Please explain why you are promoting a lie? 80.44.20.191 (talk) 13:24, 9 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
How is a lie constructive? 80.44.20.191 (talk) 13:26, 9 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
So the lie is ok then? Wikipedia is happy to knowingly lie? 80.44.20.191 (talk) 13:34, 9 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Really quick that change it back to a lie but no explanation of why lying is allowed and clearly promoted, I would like you to explain why you are so dead set on telling this lie? 80.44.20.191 (talk) 13:42, 9 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
