Hi. Regarding your claim:

This is wrong. It is entirely accepted Wikipedia practice to remove uncited material after someone adds it. The burden to include a supportive citation is on the person who adds the material, and not others. Others may add citations if they wish, but they are not obligated to do so, and such reversions are a common and legitimate everyday occurence on Wikipedia. Please stop making disruptive edits to the Mike Manning article, which includes removing cite-supported information, and adding non-supportive citations. As I stated in an edit summary yesterday, the TV by the Numbers page and the season premiere of The Real World: D.C. do not give Manning's date of birth. They only give his age at the time of that season premiere, so they do not, as you said in an edit summary, "fit the criterion for Wikipedia", at least not for that piece of information. They and other sources do, however, give his middle initital, so removing that, as you did, is not supportable by Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.

As for new sources you added for his dob, while Logo TV is a TV network and those tend to be reliable for content related to shows and their cast and crew, the info on that particular page looks like it have either been derived from a content scraper (which doesn't pass WP:IRS), or was copied from a prior version of his Wikipedia article (which violates WP:CIRCULAR). As for Soap Opera News, that website looks like it might be legit, but I wasn't sure, so I left it in, and added all the publication info to that cite, while simulataneously opening a discussion at the Reliable Sources Noticeboard to inquire about that site's reliability.

In the future, please be more careful about reverting others' edits, reading edit summaries, and learning about Wikipedaia's policies and guidelines regarding reliable sources. Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 20:55, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
