You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Bobby Martin The Granddaddy of R&B requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 13:46, 11 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

July 2013[edit]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended for publicity and/or promotional purposes. If you intend to edit constructively in other topic areas, you may be granted the right to continue under a change of username. Please read the following carefully.
Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, website or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not, although if you can demonstrate a pattern of future editing in strict accordance with our neutral point of view policy, you may be granted this right. See Wikipedia's FAQ for Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again.

What can I do now?

If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you may consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

If you do intend to make useful contributions here about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
    • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
    • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Bbb23 (talk) 13:54, 11 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Requesting an unblock of the page. This is my first article with you. Please allow me the opportunity to edit the piece to Wikipedia standards or start an entirely new piece.I will make sure to review the guidelines thoroughly. I wrote a story about the history of the individual based on historical fact but I see that it needs to be edited based on your strict guidelines. I will make sure to do so with any articles in the future. Thank you for your consideration.

Decline reason:

no indication that this editor plans to make non-WP:COI edits. Toddst1 (talk) 02:44, 17 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Here are a few key questions:

You are currently blocked because your username appears directly related to a company, group or product that you have been promoting, contrary to the username policy. Changing the username will not allow you to violate the 3 important principles above. Daniel Case (talk) 21:27, 15 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

July 19:2013,Response to Decline and Special Request for Reconsideration: Dear Wikipedia, We have reviewed everything and we request your reconsideration. We've read carefully through your feedback and reasons for the block. We've carefully reviewed Wiki guidelines. We now understand that Wikipedia does not allow promotional firms to list themselves or edit pieces to promote people we have worked with in the past as it is a COI. We apologize for this misunderstanding which was entirely on our part and we would like to request to be unblocked. We respect Wikipedia and in the future we will not edit articles related to people we've worked with in the past or any subject that would be deemed in the wiki guidelines as a COI. Please consider our request again as we now understand. Again, we respect Wikipedia and appreciate your guidelines.7:57PM July 19,2013

July 23, 2013,Dear Wikipedia,Thank you for your response. I'm interested in working on topics such as nutrition,herbs,hygiene,self-care,cultural history and historically significant people who I don't know. These are all subjects that are listed in the Wikipedia contents section and also represent subjects that I have grown to enjoy researching throughout my educational process so far. I enjoy researching these subjects as well as writing about them and I know that I can provide accurate, professional and neutral contributions in these ares to Wikipedia. I would start first in the talk pages to develop each idea.— Preceding unsigned comment added by AWJ Platinum PR (talk • contribs)

Who is "we" and "our"? The username policy is quite clear that accounts cannot be shared. I am also interested in finding out what types of edits you intend to make - you are now fully aware that you may not make a single edit related to people or companies that you are related to/work for. What do you intend to do in the future if unblocked?? (✉→BWilkins←✎) 11:49, 20 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Can you please outline the specific topics do you intend to work on if unblocked, and what your motivation for wanting to work on these topics is? Thank you, Nick-D (talk) 10:31, 23 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

August 4, 2013 Dear Wikipedia, In response to the question above from Nick D regarding subjects that i would write about,I am very interested in adding contributions through the talk page initially about the subject of Wood Betony a nutritional herb. The page currently has only a little bit of information but the herb has multiple uses based on my research which I would like to contribute to Wikipedia. Other nutritional subjects I'd like to write about are Vitamin K, CoQ10, shea butter, to name a few. Another subject of interest that I would like to propose is writing about the Space Shuttle Endeavor and its voyage to the California Science Museum.

I am interested in participating in the talk pages regularly with administrators to get your feedback and approval of all content before posting a nutrition or history based piece or any piece for that matter. The interaction on the talk page is great and a way to pre-qualify a story idea before it is written. I would like to write and edit Health and Nutrition articles starting all edits or writing proposals on the talk page for development.I am interested in expanding the information on the page on Wood Betony as it does not have alot of information currently posted. I have researched this particular herb and it has a variety of historical uses in terms of herbal nutrition that I would like to write about. First and foremost, I would begin the process on the talk page and proceed from there with approval of course.

Further, any new subjects that I would write or contribute on, I would like to initially start the process on the talk page by proposing the idea to administrators such as yourself so that I can get your feedback and approval of the subject before developing the content.

I do realize that Wikipedia has strict guidelines in regards to writing articles and I respect the guidelines. I made an error originally based on pure ignorance of the guidelines on my part. I also understand that Wikipedia does not punish writers but rather places blocks to make it clear that breaking rules whether the writer is aware of them or not will not be tolerated.I understand the rules clearly now and would like another chance to show that I can contribute properly formatted and acceptable articles to Wikipedia's content. If the block was to be removed, I would not want to use the current username at any time but rather one that is more appropriate.

Accept reason:

Allowing username change to requested username. Please put this request in at Wikipedia:Changing username as soon as possible to avoid re-blocking. Black Kite (talk) 09:34, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please help me. I tried to post a confirmation that I had responded to BWilkins ,Nick D and a few other administrators to update them on their talkpages that I had responded to them on my talkpage but I was not able to get through to place the message in their boxes due to the block. Is there a way I can get assistance to post a user talkback post so that they can be directed back to my page to review my response to them?

I would guess they have this page on their watchlists, but you can "ping" them by using the {{U|username}} template. GorillaWarfare (talk) 00:59, 5 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked for sockpuppetry[edit]

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Newsandfacts. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Girth Summit (blether) 14:27, 1 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please help me[edit]

Please help me. I am requesting to be unblocked. Here is why. When I first signed up for wikipedia, I wasn't sure how to post on Wikipedia and I didn't know the rules. I was searching for them online and reading different articles to learn.I didn't contribute much when I signed up because I was trying to figure out how to edit and some of it was not clear to me. I wasn't understanding about the dos and donts at that time. Something about me. Since I was a kid, I was always that kid that tried to follow rules in school and even as an adult. I want to follow the rules here. I have been reading more to try to find rules and learn more about them, When this block happened, it was devastating because I was trying to follow the rules but I didn't know enough of the rules. I had just started to understand so many things that I was feeling confident I could do a good job. Since this recent block, I felt devastated and at the same time determined to try and find answers and learn more about how to be better. I have learned so much more about the rules in Wikipedia since it occurred. I didn't realize there were so many rules. Now that I've learned a number of rules, I understand and I can see how to participate within guidelines. I respect them and I am a new person in my understanding of what to do and not to do. I learned that I can use the talk page to ask questions before starting an activity including editing. It is my intention to do a good job and show you that I can do a good job here. I am asking to please be unblocked so that I can show you how much I've learned and that I am a rule follower. Before any edit, I will use the talk page before editing to ask questions and make sure I am within the protocols. I will take time to continue to learn more online about additional rules. I want a chance to show you that I am serious about growth and being a good editor. I enjoy writing with all my heart and I know that I can do a good job here within the rules that I now have learned and understand. Please give me a chance to show you how much I've learned. Newsandfacts (talk) 11:37, 26 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Read WP:GAB. You will need to make a proper unblock request, specifically addressing the reasons for your block. Girth Summit (blether) 12:02, 26 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. Do I make the request addressing the reasons for the block in this space here in a reply or should I put it in the section that states the block above. I want to make sure I place the request in the right location. Newsandfacts (talk) 12:31, 26 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Just put it at the bottom of the page. Girth Summit (blether) 13:15, 26 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
