I want to create a Wikipedia page for a local Pakistani Newspaper. But I am unable to find a reference for that newspaper. Can I publish a Wikipedia Page Without reference? I also want to know the notability policy for Newspaper articles. Thanks in advance for your help. --Abhabutt (talk) 15:27, 9 March 2020 (UTC)
- No, there cannot be unsourced articles. All content must be verifiable and have ample coverage in independent reliable sources and meet notability requirements. Praxidicae (talk) 15:55, 9 March 2020 (UTC)
- Dear Praxidicae thanks for your response. I read independent reliable sources and notability requirements. but I am unable to find the notability for the newspaper. Can you please mention that specific Guideline which is related to Newspapers?--Abha Butt (talk) 16:03, 9 March 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Atkins diet. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. KH-1 (talk) 08:58, 8 April 2020 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you insert a spam link, as you did at Security alarm . Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. KH-1 (talk) 03:57, 12 April 2020 (UTC)
Your account has been blocked indefinitely for advertising or promotion and violating the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use. This is because you have been making promotional edits to topics in which you have an undisclosed financial stake, yet you have failed to adhere to the mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a form of conflict of interest (COI) editing which involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is strictly prohibited. Using this site for advertising or promotion is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, please read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the text {{unblock|reason=your reason here ~~~~}}
at the end of your user talk page. For that request to be considered, you must:
- Confirm that you have read and understand the Terms of Use and paid editing disclosure requirements.
- State clearly how you are being compensated for your edits, and describe any affiliation or conflict of interest you might have with the subjects you have written about.
- Describe how you intend to edit such topics in the future. MER-C 19:23, 24 April 2020 (UTC)
