October 2012[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Grey Revell has been reverted.
Your edit here to Grey Revell was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O91lPSKfgpk&feature=relmfu) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 16:27, 12 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

YouTube is NOT a reliable source[edit]

Hello Amanda. Per Wikipedia policies, YouTube is not a reliable primary or secondary source. In fact, Wikipedia considers YouTube to be nothing more than spam, as in WP:SPAM. This is why it didn't even require a human being to strip your spam out of the article--it was done by one of our bots that routinely goes through articles stripping out the most egregious examples of WP:ADVERT. You should also read WP:COI, since your, er, passion toward the subject passes the WP:DUCK test for your obvious conflict-of-interest. Now I'm going to give you a little piece of advice. You want this guy to become notable per Wikipedia policies? Note that we don't care if he's notable in the world--we only care if he's notable per Wikipedia policies. You claim to have a legally trained mind, so you should be totally onboard with this kind of thinking. This is what you do: You go down to the New York Times Building in Manhattan, and you ask to see one of the music critics there, and you beg him to listen to your, uhm, friend's YouTube video. He doesn't have to like the video. He can decide that it's the flabbiest piece of anti-folk flotsam that's ever been digitized on the waterways of self-promotion. It doesn't matter. If he writes any kind of article at all about it--even one hating the song--then you've got one source. You're still not done. You'll have to go out and get half-a-dozen more. Mind you, once you've accomplished this, all you've done, per Wikipedia policies, is establish that we should have an article about the song, not an article about the guy warbling it. So you'd better go out and start getting people to write articles also about the guy who sings the song. Notability standards on Wikipedia, you see, are quite high. If all of this is making your head spin, please read WP:42. It lays it out in simple layman's language for those who are not legally trained. Please have a pleasant evening, and "run run, till the runnin's done." Qworty (talk) 03:10, 13 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for making legal threats or taking legal action. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

You are not allowed to edit Wikipedia while the threats stand or the legal action is unresolved. Ironholds (talk) 05:12, 13 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
