Nickelodeon Productions

Is Nickelodeon Productions a real production company or just a brand label? I'm asking as you gave the claim "Invalid rationale for removal" when you reverted my edits. Luigitehplumber (talk) 11:40, 7 December 2018 (UTC)

Nickelodeon puts up the money for their series through Nickelodeon Productions – it doesn't get anymore "real" than that. --IJBall (contribstalk) 15:44, 7 December 2018 (UTC)
Okay then. Most of the pages however don't list them down and would likely get reverted if so. Luigitehplumber (talk) 23:43, 7 December 2018 (UTC)

Hello. You recently reverted a change I made to Stephen Hillenburg that can be seen here, where you said that my changing from ALS to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis was an unsourced addition. I'm kind of confounded by this. ALS is short for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and it's sourced that he was diagnosed with it and died from complications resulting from it, so how is spelling out the acronym an unsourced change? It seems the death cause has been removed from the infobox entirely now, which is confusing, but I wanted to get more insight on this particular revert. Thank you in advance! Sock (tock talk) 15:30, 8 December 2018 (UTC)

@Sock: I must have misread something, because you're right, in that context, my revert summary makes no sense. Sorry about that. Although it is generally better to use acronyms and abbreviations in infoboxes to save space. They can always be spelled out in the body. Amaury (talk | contribs) 02:09, 9 December 2018 (UTC)

Something we see around this time of the year (or when a season is not far from starting): IPs are adding 2019 to the section 3 heading, against WP:TVUPCOMING (there aren't even any episodes scheduled for 2019, yet). Also, some are removing the episodes with no air dates. I added a note reminding editors of TVUPCOMING. MPFitz1968 (talk) 18:36, 9 December 2018 (UTC)

Hi Amaury,

I know you watches this TV. series. Yes, I also watch it. Do you think the series is going a second season? It's doing better than TV series that have less 1.00 U.S. viewers (millions). If it doesn't get a second season, I am going to be very disappointed. It seems to be unpredictable for TV series to get cancel even if they get more than 1.00 U.S. viewers (million). — Lbtocthtalk 20:43, 9 December 2018 (UTC)

The fact that it got a full-season order seems promising. Amaury (talk | contribs) 20:48, 9 December 2018 (UTC)
Question: According to MOS:TV and WP:TV, we don't update episode count until the episode is actually airing. Don't worry, this has nothing do with you 3 at all. IJBall & Geraldo Perez Thoughts? — Lbtocthtalk 01:29, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
@Lbtocth: Episode counts are updated when an episode airs, yes. Doesn't matter where you are in the US. If you're in the East Coast or have an East Coast feed, such as those on DirecTV, if it airs, the episode count is updated. Amaury (talk | contribs) 01:45, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
Exactly. When did it became ok to update EARLIER than Eastern Time on U.S. T.V. series? — Lbtocthtalk 01:51, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
@Lbtocth: Correct. Updating episode counts for US series should be done at the earliest US broadcast, which in this case is on the East Coast. Amaury (talk | contribs) 01:56, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
I live in California, but I have East Coast feed. Some people don't even live U.S. think it is ok to update EARLIER than Eastern Time for U.S. TV series. — Lbtocthtalk 02:00, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
Yup. East Coast or East Coast feed doesn't matter. As long as it's airing, episode count can be updated. Amaury (talk | contribs) 02:04, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
And then some people called me out for disruptive editing when I reverted when it is not even airing yet. Sorry for the rant. — Lbtocthtalk 02:20, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
No, you're fine. Some people are just bullies here who have an "I am right" attitude. Amaury (talk | contribs) 02:28, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
Lbtocth, you forgot to mention the part where the different was one minute (actually, it was a matter of a few seconds), and by the time you noticed the first time around, it was already well into the broadcast. (Before you quote HOUND, Many users track other users' edits, although usually for collegial or administrative purposes, such as you taking the discussion elsewhere, talking about me and not pinging me in any occurrences.) -- AlexTW 03:28, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
Some people just have lack of respect of other editors and keep on holding grudges on them. Feel free to view my latest contributions. Even though we all may have some differences here and there, I respect you 3 and other editors and I don't hold grudges on anyone. Anyway, update episode count until the country the TV series is from is actually airing is on MOS:TV and WP:TV and a lot of other veteran editors have reverted editors who update episode count WP:TOOSOON. WP:NOHURRY. — Lbtocthtalk 03:52, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
AlexTheWhovian, you accuse everyone whoever disagree with you as WP:HOUND and bully them. I have better things to do than WP:HOUND anyone. Also, WP:NOTCRYSTALBALL. Did MOS:TV and WP:TV said they only make exceptions just for you? I don't think so. It always been a rule to only update episode count when TV series airs. — Lbtocthtalk 05:21, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
Not having this discussion in two places. One minute, or several seconds, is nothing, it's being pedantic. Focus on the important issues of Wikipedia, its expansion and its reputation, such as reverting vandalism and contributing verifiable content, instead of getting mad at an edit that was several seconds early. -- AlexTW 05:42, 10 December 2018 (UTC)

Amaury, IJBall, & Geraldo Perez, I am deeply sorry about this. — Lbtocthtalk 06:26, 10 December 2018 (UTC)

Agreed; this isn't your drama. -- AlexTW 07:53, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
Again, I am truly sorry about this. — Lbtocthtalk 18:03, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
No big deal. Didn't bother me. Amaury (talk | contribs) 18:04, 10 December 2018 (UTC)

From the way the infobox on The Lodge has been edited, wouldn’t you say it’s useful to clear up that it’s not cancelled OR renewed? People may believe it’s ended. Joesimnett (talk) 17:16, 14 December 2018 (UTC)

We don't report the unknown; however, the point is moot since it's been over a year and we assume the series has either silently ended or been canceled. Amaury (talk | contribs) 17:24, 14 December 2018 (UTC)
But wikipedia isn’t a place for assumptions, right? It’s a place for conveying facts. That’s what I did by placing the previous statement on the article. Joesimnett (talk) 19:25, 14 December 2018 (UTC)
So, you're suggesting for any show in which the network never formally releases a press release confirming that a show has been cancelled, we should leave last aired as "present" indefinitely?! No, that's ridiculous. The fact is – any show that has not aired a new episode in over the year is either officially or effectively cancelled >99% of the time. For those <1% of situations where a show comes back after more than a year off the air, we can easily change it back to "present". Bottom line: The template documentation says what it does for a reason. --IJBall (contribstalk) 22:21, 14 December 2018 (UTC)

Has this show been renewed for a second season yet?! The reason I ask is because I just noticed somebody in IMDb has already put "season 2" episodes in there, and I just wanted to check to see if there was any justification for that... --IJBall (contribstalk) 17:06, 19 December 2018 (UTC)

Not that I can see, though remember Disney Channel actors are contracted for three seasons, and two seasons are guaranteed, so that's probably why. Amaury (talk | contribs) 17:08, 19 December 2018 (UTC)

I'm still not sure what your deal is. Edit summaries like this are questionable enough, but then you do the same thing and suggest that I read WP:BRD. Well, I read it, and you know what? The final line in the nutshell says to "begin a discussion with the person who reverted your change to establish consensus." I indeed did that (complete with three examples), and your response was nothing. Disputes are one thing, but if you keep making comments like you have been, I'm going to have to report you (and for record, no, you can't say what you want; that isn't how Wikipedia works). Erpert blah, blah, blah... 22:53, 19 December 2018 (UTC)

Yes, go home and threaten to cry to mommy because another editor disagreed with you. God forbid editors disagree with each other. Next, we should start filing reports on editors for using slang words like "gonna" because we think only professional typing should be allowed on Wikipedia. I'll let you in on a little secret: disagreeing ≠ uncivility. You have no consensus for your change, and coming back here to try that bullshit again months later does not change the fact. Either start a discussion on the article talk page and see if you can gain consensus from other editors commenting or a legitimate report on you for edit warring will be filed if you want to keep walking around here with your "I am right" stick. I suggest starting a discussion on the talk page, but it's completely up to you. Amaury (talk | contribs) 23:06, 19 December 2018 (UTC)

Random question

Who the heck is it with Kendall Schmidt in this Nick 2018 X-Mas promo?! Any idea? I've been racking my brain, and I'm not getting it... TIA. --IJBall (contribstalk) 14:55, 20 December 2018 (UTC)

@IJBall: No idea. MPFitz1968? Geraldo Perez? It's at 0:15 in the video and then again at 0:58. Amaury (talk | contribs) 15:04, 20 December 2018 (UTC)

So, still no new episodes scheduled in January?... --IJBall (contribstalk) 15:57, 29 December 2018 (UTC)

@IJBall: No. Nickelodeon is rude. At least for now, as there are still two weeks of January premieres not posted, but I doubt it'll change anything with Game Shakers. Amaury (talk | contribs) 16:02, 29 December 2018 (UTC)

Regarding this edit, is there anything to this at all?! Where there even an "announcement"? Or is this a case of an IP going off just Nickandmore or something?... --IJBall (contribstalk) 16:28, 31 December 2018 (UTC)

Legendary Dudas was a quiet cancellation, so no. No announcement. Amaury (talk | contribs) 16:33, 31 December 2018 (UTC)
