Who are you to revert my recent edits to that guy about the Nickelodeon show My Life as a Teenage Robot? -_- 68.197.237.168 (talk) 10:32, 2 August 2018 (UTC)

Regarding this, has Willow been in enough episodes to be "recurring" yet? I haven't seen every S3 episode yet, but I've only seen her in two so far... --IJBall (contribstalk) 18:57, 3 August 2018 (UTC)

@IJBall: See List of Bizaardvark episodes#Season 3 (2018). Only two. Amaury (talk | contribs) 19:05, 3 August 2018 (UTC)
That's what I thought – I'll revert. --IJBall (contribstalk) 19:06, 3 August 2018 (UTC)

Have either Belissa or Viking Guy shown up in season #3 yet? --IJBall (contribstalk) 19:23, 9 August 2018 (UTC)

@IJBall: No. Amaury (talk | contribs) 19:29, 9 August 2018 (UTC)

You got the writer's credit wrong. C.L. did not adapt the story to English. Check the show's credits. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 166.77.3.3 (talk) 20:43, 3 August 2018‎ (UTC)

What is this even in reference to?... --IJBall (contribstalk) 21:08, 3 August 2018 (UTC)
This is in reference to the paragraph about production. C. Ledeboer did not end up writing the scripts for the English version. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Galuois (talkcontribs) 21:28, 3 August 2018 (UTC)
Two different sources indicated that. If that is to be changed, I'd like to see something more than the onscreen credits confirming it. (I'll let Amaury post his own thoughts on the matter...) --IJBall (contribstalk) 21:56, 3 August 2018 (UTC)
Pretty much what IJBall stated. What's stated there is per the sources. Amaury (talk | contribs) 01:29, 4 August 2018 (UTC)

Greetings and felicitations. I noticed that you reverted my edit to Liv and Maddie. I actually made two changes in that edit. If you please, I'd like to reinstate the spelling correction of "vice-principal" to "vice principal" (in part in accordance with MOS:ENGVAR, since in my experience American English rarely hyphenates "vice [title]"). As for the major change I made, I feel that "This prompts the rest of the Rooneys, except Pete who remains in Wisconsin to continue his coaching job, to move to Malibu, California, to take up residence with Karen's younger sister, Dena, and her daughter, Ruby, where the series' fourth season takes place." puts the explanatory phrase too far from the part of the sentence (Malibu) that it is explaining. Can you see a better way to phrase this? —DocWatson42 (talk) 06:54, 4 August 2018 (UTC)

I agree that the latter sentence needs to be rephrased somehow. A parenthetical is not the answer, but the current phrasing of that sentence is awkward, to say the least... --IJBall (contribstalk) 15:21, 4 August 2018 (UTC)
@DocWatson42 and IJBall: I've reinstated the non-hyphenated "vice principal." As for the other matter, personally, it sounds fine to me as it is. So anything you guys can come up with to rephrase it, without making it a parenthetical, go for it. Amaury (talk | contribs) 16:23, 4 August 2018 (UTC)

This IP's edits at Big City Greens are fully disruptive at this point – many warnings about it already, and they persist. If they do it again, I advise reporting to WP:AIV – I just gave them another final warning. --IJBall (contribstalk) 02:51, 6 August 2018 (UTC)

Would you so kindly fix some edits on The Fairly OddParents? There are a handful of errors saying that the show ended already. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1009:b040:b09b:dc61:679c:a09c:2110 (talk) 19:35, August 7, 2018‎ (UTC)

Not long after semiprotection ended there (yesterday), IPs were back at it again, changing the end date back to "present" and saying the series is not over. First, an IP does this, which I revert, but then that IP restores their edit. Then another IP reverts them here. And then comes yet another IP to restore "present" on the end date here, which I revert. I remember when IPs were persistently changing "present" to July 26, 2017 before we could change it to that date per guideline. This is probably gonna turn into a perpetual edit war, even between IPs. The guideline is clear on us indicating the series is over - that is, unless a source comes along and says the series has been renewed by Nickelodeon or picked up by another network (either of which looks unlikely). Taking this back to WP:RPP is looking more likely with every IP edit that comes along doing this. MPFitz1968 (talk) 14:24, 16 August 2018 (UTC)

@MPFitz1968: Another semi-protection will likely be needed, I agree. Have you ever seen anything like this before, though? Usually, people are "fighting" to add an end date before a reliable source is available or a year has passed, like what originally was the case for TFOP. lol Amaury (talk | contribs) 14:33, 16 August 2018 (UTC)
I was thinking pending changes, but whether I request that or semi-protection, the admin handling will determine what is best (semi-protection is usually if there's a large number of disruptive edits in a short period of time). And yeah, this is pretty unusual that IPs would be deciding to say the series is not over, even a year after the last episode, following IPs going the other way with it before we could say it was over. MPFitz1968 (talk) 14:39, 16 August 2018 (UTC)

I'm just letting you know that I've reverted your changes to the column widths of the episode table headers at List of Jessie episodes as they were fundamentally flawed. Column widths have to be set to at least the width of the text in the column, otherwise they mean nothing. If the column width is set too low, the text will force the column to be as wide as the text needs regardless of the setting. For example, if the width of the "overall" column is set to "1" and the text is 5% wide, the column width will be forced to 5%. For "overall", "season" and "airdate" the minimum widths are 5, 6 and 14, a total of 25%. Setting them to 1, 1, and 10 (12%) is pointless as the columns will actually be 25% as that is what the text requires. There were problems with other columns as well. Also, the width of all columns has to add up to 100% or whatever "total_width" is set to. Your column widths added up to only 85%. This fortunately allowed the columns to expand to at least 98% but this is still deceptive. While it looks OK on some resolutions, some resolutions show out of sync columns. --AussieLegend () 08:19, 9 August 2018 (UTC)

@AussieLegend: Thanks for taking the time to explain it. It makes total sense and it's appreciated. The different resolutions is something I have to remember. On another note, at least I didn't just arbitrarily blank them like editors have done in the past. lol Amaury (talk | contribs) 08:23, 9 August 2018 (UTC)
The issue of column widths is a real pain. It's nice to have the columns all lined up but it's not absolutely essential. However, TV episode lists won't be promoted to GA status unless they are lined up. I've spent hours trying to get them right and sometimes it doesn't make sense. And yes, I did notice that you didn't blank them, but I wouldn't expect that from you. Cheers. --AussieLegend () 08:30, 9 August 2018 (UTC)
@AussieLegend: I know the feeling. I just fixed that same flaw of mine that I made on another episode list, but when I was first working on the widths there, before I knew of everything you just told me, it was gruesome trying to get it "right." Every time I changed, say, the director width, another column like the original air date would become squished and ugly. It was frustrating. That's why I never really bother with the widths, generally speaking. If they're already there, I won't remove them, but otherwise if they're not, I leave them blank. Extensive Discussion

I just checked again, and yeah – my Disney Now app is only showing three episodes (total!) available for this (I think it's 1 from season 1, and 2 from season 2). I checked other shows in Disney XD section of the app and it was a similar story – just 1 or 2 episodes available for watching... Are you accessing the entire library of episodes through the website, or through the Disney Now app? And, if the latter, who's your cable provider?... --IJBall (contribstalk) 15:53, 12 August 2018 (UTC)

@IJBall: Website. DirecTV. Amaury (talk | contribs) 16:32, 12 August 2018 (UTC)
@IJBall: Semi-related, but I can't believe how much WP:COPYVIO there is at List of Lab Rats episodes and that it's been there all this time. I am glad I'm cleaning this up again when I'm more experienced as the first time I went through was a long time ago and I wasn't as experienced and mostly cleaned up grammar in the summaries without realizing they were already WP:COPYVIO. Most of the changes I made involved simplicity by changing things like "Adam, Bree, Chase, and Leo" to "the Lab Rats and Leo," with Leo being included in "Lab Rats" in later summaries when he got bionics. Just look at summaries like "Commando App" and "Leo's Jam" and then click on the respective episodes here on The Futon Critic and look at their summaries. The summaries are either virtually verbatim or so closely worded that it makes no difference. There is going to be a lot of summaries removed once I'm done. Amaury (talk | contribs) 18:21, 12 August 2018 (UTC)
@IJBall: In the case of ones like "Commando App," starting with While the Lab Rats' bionics and Spike's aggression get them close... it is no longer WP:COPYVIO; however, I'm going to still remove them as a proper summary can't be written from that point on as the context is lost. Amaury (talk | contribs) 18:29, 12 August 2018 (UTC)
@MPFitz1968: If you're able, are you interested in helping me out here and seeing what's WP:COPYVIO by comparing summaries to The Futon Critic ones and salvaging the ones that are salvageable? You can either work on List of Lab Rats episodes and I can then incorporate that into the cleanup I'm doing in my sandbox or you can work in my sandbox directly: User:Amaury/sandbox/List of Lab Rats episodes. I've gotten through the fifth episode, "Exoskeleton vs. Grandma" of which I think I've managed to salvage. Amaury (talk | contribs) 18:50, 12 August 2018 (UTC)
Season one is checked and WP:COPYVIO free in my sandbox. Of the 19 episodes, the following episodes contained COPYVIO:
*2. "Commando App"
*3. "Leo's Jam"
*4. "Rats on a Train"
*5. "Exoskeleton vs. Grandma"
*6. "Smart and Smarter"
*7. "Bionic Birthday Fail"
*8. "Death Spiral Smackdown"
*9. "Can I Borrow the Helicopter?"
*12. "Drone Alone"
*13. "Chore Wars"
*14. "Dude, Where's My Lab?"
Ones listed in bold appeared to be salvageable, so I tried to salvage them by rewriting them to no longer be COPYVIO. Otherwise, ones listed in non-bold had their summaries completely removed. Amaury (talk | contribs) 20:57, 12 August 2018 (UTC)
Season two is checked and COPYVIO free in my sandbox. Of the 25 episodes, the following episodes contained COPYVIO:
*1. "Speed Trapped"
*18. "Llama Drama"
Ones listed in bold appeared to be salvageable, so I tried to salvage them by rewriting them to no longer be COPYVIO. Otherwise, ones listed in non-bold had their summaries completely removed. Also, I decided not to list it above as I'm not sure, but I don't know if the original summary for "My Little Brother" is technically COPYVIO or not as the sentences start out the same as the summaries on The Futon Critic, but later wording is original. I went ahead and reworded it a little just in case. Amaury (talk | contribs) 23:32, 12 August 2018 (UTC)
Out of the 23 episodes for season three, only "First Day of Bionic Academy" has clear-cut copyvio and it was removed entirely in my sandbox. There were some others that were technically okay, I think, but I reworded them a little to make them a little more unique. If there are still potential problems, further tweaks can be made.
"Mission: Mission Creek High":
The Futon Critic summary: Now that she knows their secret, Principal Perry pesters the team to take her on a bionic mission. When they stage a fake mission, things don't go as planned, and they have to save Mission Creek High from a speeding rocket.
Original summary: Since Principal Perry knows that the Lab Rats are bionic, she wants to get in the action and go on a mission with them. When they stage a fake mission and take her down to the newly built lab, things don't go as planned, and they have to save Mission Creek High from a speeding rocket. Meanwhile, Janelle goes on a date with Leo, but is beginning to see him as a jinx because she always gets hurt when he is around.
Slightly rewritten summary by me: Since Principal Perry knows that Chase, Adam, and Bree are bionic, she wants to get involved in the action and go on a mission with them. When they stage a fake mission and take her down to the newly built lab, things go awry when Principal Perry accidentally launches a rocket. Chase, Adam, and Bree must then save Mission Creek High before the rocket hits. Meanwhile, Janelle goes on a date with Leo, but is beginning to see him as a jinx because she always gets hurt when he is around.
"Scramble the Orbs":
The Futon Critic summary: Leo's excited about his first high-end technological creation, a pair of attack orbs meant to protect the family, but when they can't differentiate between friend and foe, they create more harm than good. Meanwhile, Chase steals Davenport's Eddy technology to make a "Cheddy" app and win a Tech Town employee contest, but things go awry when the technology glitches.
Original summary: Leo invents his first high-end technological creation, a pair of attack orbs meant to protect the family, but when they can't differentiate between friend and enemy, they create more bad than good. Meanwhile, Chase steals Donald's Eddy technology to make a Cheddy application to win a Tech Town employee contest and beat Scott, but things go wrong when the technology doesn't work as expected. Leo and Tasha go to see Janelle's play which Adam is starring in, but when Trent steals Leo's ticket, Leo and Trent ruin her play, much to Adam and Janelle's dismay.
Slightly rewritten summary by me: Leo invents his first technological creation, a pair of attack orbs to protect himself and the others; however, things go awry when they cannot tell friend from foe. Meanwhile, Chase steals Davenport’s Eddy technology to make a Cheddy application to win an employee contest at Tech Town and beat Scott, but things get out of hand when the technology does not work as expected. Later, Leo and Tasha go to see Janelle's play which Adam is starring in, but when Trent steals Leo's ticket, Leo and Trent ruin her play, much to Adam and Janelle's dismay.
"Spike Fright"
The Futon Critic summary: When Chase finally gets a girl interested in him, Adam gets jealous and sabotages their date by purposefully causing Chase to turn into Spike.
Original summary: Chase gets a girl interested in him, but Adam gets jealous and tries to ruin their date by having Chase turn back into Spike. Meanwhile, Leo and Bree suspect that Principal Perry has murdered a cook from the cafeteria and Donald. They then find out it was about a hamburger truck and they misunderstood everything.

Meanwhile, Bree and Leo suspect that Principal Perry has murdered a cook from the cafeteria and Davenport. They then find out it was about a hamburger truck and they misunderstood everything.
Out of these, "Spike Fright" still could probably use tweaks to the first sentence, but I'm not exactly sure how to rewrite that and all I changed in this one was one word. It should hopefully be unique enough for now. Amaury (talk | contribs) 03:08, 13 August 2018 (UTC)
Finished the rest earlier this morning, including filling out viewers where available. So essentially it's all ready to go, I'm just waiting until I'm done binging the series to double-check credits, particularly directors and writers presentation. Out of the 22 season four episodes, only "Left Behind" and "Under Siege" had their summaries completely removed as the COPYVIO was essentially non-salvageable. All of the others were just copy-edited to improve readability. On another note, while all of the summaries could be rewritten from scratch and improved, the summaries for a lot of the season four episodes in particular are just a mess, mostly the double-length specials like "Lab Rats vs. Mighty Med," "Bionic Action Hero," etc, where the summaries are pretty much extremely hard to follow and seem to just jump all over the place. In the aforementioned combined crossover, for example, it jumps straight from Adam, Bree, and Leo discovering Kaz and Oliver are superheroes to Chase being injured by the Incapacitator. Where's the part about Davenport being injured for the retina scan and calling the team for help? There aren't any smooth transitions from scene to scene, it just, again, jumps from place to place, which can easily confuse readers, even ones who have watched the series. I know I was confused while I was reading and copy-editing it. Most of the copy-edits I made in general were to improve grammar and tensing to make the summaries make sense, wording-wise, but you can't really fix something and make it make sense plot-wise if it's already badly-written. Boy Meets World season articles

As I was going thru checking those, and seeing you revert that IP, I did notice at least a couple of names among the guest stars who certainly are documented with articles in Wikipedia but are not linked at all. Brittany Murphy and Dick Van Patten immediately came to mind. Oh, on the Dick Van Patten one, I also noticed the typo in the season 4 premiere's guest star listing for "You Can Go Home Again" ([1]), and I recall you have BMW on DVD; may be a good time to check if Van Patten is listed (particularly, if his name is spelled correctly). MPFitz1968 (talk) 14:56, 14 August 2018 (UTC)

@MPFitz1968: Sorry for the delay... again.
"You Can Go Home Again" guest stars:
  • Dick Van Patten as Amish Farmer
  • Phil Leeds as Phil
  • Marisa Ryan as Irene
  • Matt Landers as Graham
  • Charles Noland as Garrett
Amaury (talk | contribs) 17:15, 19 August 2018 (UTC)
Thanks, Amaury. I noticed someone else listed in the guest star credits for that episode in the season 4 article, and removed that one. Makes me wonder if there are any other ones listed in the article(s) who are not guest stars. MPFitz1968 (talk) 17:43, 19 August 2018 (UTC)

Hey, any chance you can "proof" this edit versus the credits? Thanks. --IJBall (contribstalk) 23:58, 15 August 2018 (UTC)

@IJBall: Already got it before I saw your message. Everything through "Parade Day"/"DIY Guys" (S1 E10) has been checked by me. Any changes to those can be reverted without hesitation. Amaury (talk | contribs) 00:02, 16 August 2018 (UTC)

Related discussion: iCarly from July 2018

@IJBall: Were you still planning on getting around to this? Amaury (talk | contribs) 04:55, 26 August 2018 (UTC)

Eventually – basically, my proposal is going to be to merge "season 7" into the season 6 article, and make them "Season 6, Part 1" and "Season 6, Part 2" – it is possible to do this using the {{Episode table}} template, and a lot of other cable TV shows have some weird "split season" circumstances like this (e.g. Vikings (2013 TV series)), so I'm hoping other editors will go along with this arrangement. I had planned to post a (new) proposal to Talk:List of iCarly episodes about this (and then ping the commenters in the previous discussions on the topics related to this, esp. Geraldo). But I think it's a serious problem that Wikipedia reports "seven seasons" for this show when no other secondary source that I've seen does – while I don't think we can make "five seasons" out of this like most of the other sources do, we can at least try to "align" our arrangement of the show in roughly the same "six seasons" that Amazon does... Now, I am definitely OK if you want to go ahead and propose this on your end, because you're getting impatient with me getting around to do it! (And I still don't know when I'll get to it, on my end...) If you go that route, I will obviously be a "support" vote for merging season #7 into season #6. --IJBall (contribstalk) 06:11, 26 August 2018 (UTC)
@IJBall: Don't worry, I'm not mad at or impatient with you. lol The thought just popped into my head earlier, so I had at look at my archives because I vaguely remembered you saying something about it. I saw your post from July 18, where you said you'd be tackling it and making your proposal to Geraldo in a week or two, which would have been either July 25 or August 1. So with today being three weeks and three days past that two-week "deadline," I thought I'd ask. I agree that making it five seasons wouldn't work. But six seasons does make sense, because if you think about it, season two was 45 produced episodes, so it makes sense to split them into different airing seasons, with season 2A being season two and season 2B being season three, and even Amazon reflects that. However, splitting season five into two airing seasons does not make sense since there were only 15 produced episodes, and with both Amazon and iTunes having all of the season five episodes as part of season six, it seems like that promo that Michael linked to on the episode list talk page was just some sort of marketing "ploy" at the time. And even if season 2B was advertised as season three and was another marketing "ploy," it makes more sense there, like I said. But with season five being split into airing seasons six and seven, with six and seven episodes, airing-wise, that just makes no sense. What kind of season has less than 10 episodes? Amaury (talk | contribs) 06:28, 26 August 2018 (UTC)
Yeah, that's the thing – I think History Channel has marketed/on-air advertised the two halves of seasons #4 and #5 of Vikings as basically separate "seasons", even though they're really half-seasons not "real" full seasons. Other cable TV shows are operated this way as well. So, this is an example where you can't really take a Primary source "at their word". So, in the case of iCarly, if it's one Nick promo/primary source calling it a "new season", vs. the predominance of Secondary sources not recognizing the "season #6" vs. "season #7" distinction, then we need to go with the latter over the former... --IJBall (contribstalk) 06:35, 26 August 2018 (UTC)
The other thing is, IIRC, the time "gap" between "season #6" and "season #7" was only 3–4 months – so, again, that doesn't really seem like a real "new season" thing. IOW, there's usually (though not always) a longer "time gap" between seasons for Nick and Disney Channel shows... --IJBall (contribstalk) 06:38, 26 August 2018 (UTC)
@IJBall: Usually being the keyword here. lol The gaps between the third and fourth seasons for both The Thundermans and Henry Danger were rather small. If you ask me, for Henry Danger, they could have aired the remaining season three episodes in May 2017 alongside Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn and Game Shakers and had three premieres on Saturday night, just like they did in March 2017. Here is a quick example of what it could have been like for some of the episodes instead of what we see in the episode list now. Dates in bold are the actual dates those episodes aired. Everything else is what I think could have worked.

You have this on your watchlist, right? Appears IPs are adding info about future season 4 episodes without any source (or improperly using the same source that backs the "Oh My Santa" episode in that list). If this keeps up, semiprotection will be necessary, but if you could watch this article for a while, I'd appreciate it. Also pinging IJBall and Geraldo Perez. @MPFitz1968: Yes, I am already watching it. I've just seen some promos for Nickelodeon in September, and they make no mention of "new" episodes of Game Shakers. OTOH, they do mention new episodes of I Am Frankie, Knight Squad, and Henry Danger. I have no idea what's going on here, but I'm starting to wonder if Nick is just going to burn off the final season ofGame Shakers on TeenNICK in the middle of Fall or something... --IJBall (contribstalk) 02:41, 27 August 2018 (UTC)

A movie (looks to be 90-minutes?...) called Alex & Me, starring Siena Agudong from Star Falls, was also included. --IJBall (contribstalk) 02:48, 27 August 2018 (UTC)
