Hello @Mayamam123, The article doesn't meet the criteria for WP:GNG, there is a lack of in-depth coverage WP:SIGCOV.Premature-ish as per WP:TOOSOON. Appu2024 (talk) 09:32, 9 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable non-free use File:Actress Anjali Anand.jpeg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Actress Anjali Anand.jpeg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 04:02, 9 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Control copyright icon Hello Appu2024! Your additions to Ramdas Padhye have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Compassionate727 (T·C) 15:40, 14 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Block message:

Autoblocked because your IP address was recently used by "DSN18". The reason given for DSN18's block is: "Undisclosed paid editing in violation of the WMF Terms of Use".

Decline reason: I believe this autoblock is correctly preventing a sock or meat puppet from contributing. I'll block this account directly. 331dot (talk) 14:18, 17 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Appu2024 (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

My account was blocked saying i have multiple accounts. firstly i was unable to edit saying Same IP was used by someone who is blocked. now It says sock puppetry. i request to review this matter and unblock my account. Appu2024 (talk) 2:39 pm, 17 February 2024, last Saturday (4 days ago) (UTC−5)

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 16:38, 21 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Explain why you are on the IP of a blocked user, editing about similar subject matter(even the same article). Your only chance here is to be completely honest. 331dot (talk) 20:33, 17 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

per WP:CORPNAME "Because Wikipedia's policy is that usernames should not be shared between more than one individual, the following types of usernames are not permitted because they imply shared use:

  • Usernames that are simply names of companies or groups are not permitted (these also fall under Promotional names).
  • Personal usernames that imply shared access, such as "Jack and Jill", are not permitted.
  • Usernames that are names of posts within organizations, such as "Secretary of the XY Foundation", are not permitted, as such a post may be held by different persons at different times.
  • However, usernames are acceptable if they contain a company or group name but are clearly intended to denote an individual person, such as "Mark at WidgetsUSA", "Jack Smith at the XY Foundation", "WidgetFan87", etc."

I also recommend reading and heeding WP:PAID. Thanks -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 22:38, 17 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

FWIW, I have reviewed the matter, hence the preceding additions to your talk page. Thanks! -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 22:40, 17 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello 331dot, i am unaware about why i am on same IP of a blocked user as i am leaving here since my childhood and using same internet connection. May be due to shared internet network it has caused. Also, i had just started using wikipedia fews days back, most of my time goes in learning. May be i have found few links somewhere in wikipedia and found problems in articles so started working on it. Few articles may be i have seen in some user page and i have picked it from there. I am still learning and it feels bad when i got blocked because some other user is blocked and i am on same IP or edited few similiar articles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Appu2024 (talkcontribs)

After examining your edit history, you edited three articles that the other user had previously edited. This is difficult to accept as a coincidence. The vast majority of your edits are about Indian media personalities and other public performers(like a ventriloquist). I oppose unblocking you to continue to edit in those categories. 331dot (talk) 07:33, 18 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello @331dot, i can understand its difficult to accept if these has happened. but being honest i have nothing to do with those IP's or users. I would not edit any articles which is been edited previously by me or any article which is edited by someone else. would that help. Kindly suggest me what steps can i talk now and in future to avoid such things happening. being new to platform i would love to explore. Thank You. Appu2024 (talk) 07:58, 18 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You'll need to do as Deepfriedokra says above; as I said I oppose unblocking you to edit about Indian media personalities and performers; please also tell what topics you will edit about instead and agree to a topic ban from that area. I'm actually skeptical you should be permitted to edit about any living Indian public figure but am willing to keep a topic ban narrower. 331dot (talk) 08:06, 18 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello @331dot, i would love to edit in categories like films and celebrities, cricket as i am more movie watcher. i Watch lots of movies on OTT platforms and cricket. i will definitely improve my writing and learn from my mistakes. Appu2024 (talk) 08:19, 18 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Someone else will review your request, please propose a new username as Deepfriedokra says above, and read what they've indicated. 331dot (talk) 08:32, 18 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello @Deepfriedokra kindly review my request and let me know what step should i take next. Thank you. Appu2024 (talk) 15:07, 18 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You have not addressed your user name problem, You have not indicated that you have read and will heed WP:PAID. Your explanation on the sock puppetry is not convincing. I don't think editing about celebrities fits the proposed restriction about Indian media personalities and performers. -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 15:33, 18 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
i have read WP:PAID and i have honestly wrote what has happened. Being new i want to improve but all the allegations are not true. It may not be looking convincing but true. Let me know and guide what can i do now. Appu2024 (talk) 20:10, 18 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If I formally review your request it will be to decline. I'll just leave you the opportunity to fix the current request. Thanks -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 22:53, 18 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Should i send an request for unblock again? Appu2024 (talk) 03:37, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
i would request you to give a chance to new user to learn and improve, whatever i have wrote is what happened with me and i am not sure how can i help get my account back. and should i change my internet service provider can that help? Appu2024 (talk) 03:40, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
How would changing your ISP possibly fix the reasons for your block? Please address the reasons for your block and other problems mentioned above. -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 10:02, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Deepfriedokra, only thing i can say is i would not edit other users articles or check the user profile before editing any articles. and being on someone IP address how can i help on that. Appu2024 (talk) 07:12, 21 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
