Speedy deletion declined: Shinya Takahashi
Hello Arkhandar. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Shinya Takahashi, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The reason given is not a valid speedy deletion criterion. Thank you. — JJMC89 (T·C) 18:05, 4 January 2019 (UTC)
I suggest you read the talk page first, and talk with the admins. We are supposed to remove the Unreleased parameters from overcrowding the page size limit. Zacharyalejandro (talk) 21:41, 8 January 2019 (UTC)Zacharyalejandro
- @Zacharyalejandro: Sorry about that. Wasn't aware of size limits until now. Thank you for pointing this out to me. However, I would advise refraining to use offending language in the future. Arkhandar (talk) 21:57, 8 January 2019 (UTC)
Nintendo Template Logos
@Arkhandar: Great idea with the logos on the Nintendo templates! I tried to complete any others that I could. I am new to editing; where did you get some of your images? I'm unsure how to add them to Wikipedia or how it works. I just used the images associated with the series' main page, so some may need to be changed if you think any could look nicer/optimize the space better. Glad to see someone else interested in making the templates look as great as possible! :) Bchill53 (talk) 23:45, 16 January 2019 (UTC)
@Arkhandar: The only major ones left that I noticed are the Wario and Wars series. They each have a link to a series page, but they don't have their logos represented. If you can find anything and add it, that would be great in my book! :) Some are series but don't have a series page, such as Chibi-Robo and Rhythm Heaven, so I couldn't use my trick haha. If you have a minute to find those too.. Sorry haha. And the oddball Xeno I wanted to add, but the series page even says each logo for each game is completely unique, so I wouldn't know what to put there haha. Let me know if you have any opinions either way. Hope to see you around. Bchill53 (talk) 00:11, 17 January 2019 (UTC)
- @Bchill53: Hi! Welcome to Wikipedia. It's nice to see someone sharing an interest in editing Nintendo's franchises articles and templates. Since you're new to this, I should warn you that we distinguish logos and images in two categories: copyrighted and public domain. Basically copyright works must be low-resolution and its use should be as limited as possible (only present in 1 article, for example). Public domain content can me used anywhere (some works are trademarked, but that's irrelevant to this). You should check each individual file to see what rationale is being used to avoid problems. As a final note, I invite you to check the Nintendo Task Force. It has a lot of material that might help, and it would be great to have you on the team! ~ Arkhandar (message me) 00:31, 17 January 2019 (UTC)
- @Bchill53:Now, as far as I know, the Wario franchise doesn't have an official logo besides the WarioWare series. Maybe we could use that, but it might not be appropriate. The Wars series suffers from the same "problem" as the Xeno series, so maybe the most recent logo might be appropriate. As for Chibi-Robo and Rhythm Heaven, it would be nice to create a series page for them. Right now I'm a little busy restructuring Nintendo's dev articles, but I might do it some time in the future. You're free to start it of course, and if you have any questions feel free to ask! ~ Arkhandar (message me) 00:34, 17 January 2019 (UTC)
- @Arkhandar:Good point about both of those. I was picturing the WarioWare emblem but that would be misleading for the plenty of games that aren't. And I haven't played the Wars series beyond Battalion Wars, but I believe you're right. I just figured there would be some logo Nintendo made, but maybe that's destined to no luck haha. I saw that the Star Fox, Animal Crossing, and Punch-Out!! logo images were taken down by another user because of copyright, so thanks for the heads up. Bchill53 (talk) 18:30, 17 January 2019 (UTC)

Cover art
Stop replacing cover art with your own crops. It's acceptable and preferred for games originally released on one platform to use that box art. Box art without platform labels is preferred for multiplat games. See WP:NFCCP #4. TarkusABtalk 22:43, 27 January 2019 (UTC)
Nintendo dev template
Hi Arkhandar! Regarding Nintendo ownership of Genius Sonority and Creatures, you can see here Nintendo owned 19% in GS. They probably still do, as we haven't heard otherwise. https://web.archive.org/web/20090310040924/http://www.geniussonority.jp/en/index.html As for Creatures, it's a bit tricky. I asked the admin of Serebii.net if he could helped, and he told me that "The notion that Nintendo own Creatures Inc. comes from the fact Nintendo, for a long time, listed a 10% ownership in Ape Inc. Ape Inc is the developer of Earthbound which then spun off into Creatures Inc. Unfortunately, Nintendo's financials don't typically show small ownership stakes anymore so it's hard to say"
I don't know if we should list Creatures, GS, DeNa and Cya, as Nintendo doesn't really own them. They aren't on the same league as Retro or Monolith.
Last week I made a list of every Nintendo development partner, you can find it here https://www.resetera.com/threads/nintendo-first-party-thread-ot2-new-year-new-mii.90098/post-17297320 Should be helpful to maintain the template. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.29.93.56 (talk) 20:14, 1 February 2019 (UTC)

Infobox
You kind of messed up the infobox on the Nintendo Switch article. Part of it wasn't being displayed properly. So I changed it back. X-Editor (talk) 18:39, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
- @X-Editor: Fixed! Thanks for the heads up. ~ Arkhandar (message me) 18:44, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Arkhandar: No problem! X-Editor (talk) 18:45, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
Capitalizing Cite and other templates
Just an FYI, this is unnecessary and atypical. If a bot or AWB run edits a page where you have done this, it will change them back to lowercase as part of the genfixes set. It makes it a little more difficult to read diffs as well, when every template is changed in an edit. -- ferret (talk) 17:43, 13 February 2019 (UTC)
3DS infobox
@Arkhandar: just thought I’d answer your edit summary “(Restructure infobox (have a feeling someone quietly reverted this)”: @Sergecross73: was the one who reverted you. — EzekielT Talk 23:16, 25 February 2019 (UTC)
- Not sure what was “quiet” about that - there was nothing stealthy or subtle about what I did. There were a lot of changes made without discussion and explanation, so I openly stated that I was rolling it back. Sergecross73 msg me 23:48, 25 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Sergecross73: Oh, ok. I didn't see that when running through the revision history. I know I'm quite bold in edits sometimes, but it's frustrating to see an entire work reverted when editors don't agree with just a portion of it. I know I should fragment edits a bit more, but sometimes it's just a nuisance to make a hundred edits to change something. ~ Arkhandar (message me) 00:06, 26 February 2019 (UTC)
- I find the revamp confusing though. Your version covers 3ds and 3ds xl, but not 2ds or new 3ds. They’re. All. 3ds. Models. And the article covers all of them. And now you’re repeatedly making changes without consensus too, the same thing Ezekiel is doing wrong. You guys are killing me here, both conceptually and in not following protocol. Sergecross73 msg me 00:32, 26 February 2019 (UTC)
- Actually, the article is meant for the original 3DS and the 3DS XL, as the header says: "This article is about the Nintendo 3DS and its larger model, the Nintendo 3DS XL". So Arkhandar is right. — EzekielT Talk 00:54, 26 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Sergecross73: Arkhandar has made 16 edits to the article in a row now. — EzekielT Talk 01:00, 26 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Sergecross73: Yeah, I'm going to have to agree with EzekielT (talk · contribs) here. Yes, the article encompasses the entire 3DS family, but the focus (at least for now) is clearly the original model and the XL model. The other models have their own infoboxes in their own articles, so I don't see what's the issue here. It's not like I'm deleting any info from the infobox anyway, I'm just formatting it in a way that makes sense. ~ Arkhandar (message me) 01:04, 26 February 2019 (UTC)
- Okay, looking through the history, it looks like you’re right, you didn’t change a lot of the content as much as you just reformatted it some. I still think some of it is confusing, but I’ll drop this one for now. Sergecross73 msg me 04:01, 26 February 2019 (UTC)
