Your submission at Articles for creation: Daniel Aged (March 4)

[edit]
Your recent article submission has been rejected. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by Robert McClenon was: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: This draft has been submitted five times in the past six weeks and declined four times, by User:Theroadislong, User:Bkissin, and myself, twice within the past 24 hours. This draft, as submitted, does not address musical notability criteria. This does not mean that the subject does not satisfy the criteria, and it does not mean that the subject satisfies the criteria. It means that this draft does not satisfy the criteria, and that making changes to the references is not sufficient to have it approved.

While Wikipedia requires reliable sources for articles, there is a myth that the inclusion of more sources is the key to acceptance of an article. Adequate sources are a necessary but not a sufficient condition for the acceptance of an article. The text of the article must state clearly why the subject is notable. Simply reference-bombing the draft with more sources is not satisfactory.

When I declined this draft within the past 24 hours, I said to explain on the draft talk page what musical notability criteria were satisfied. It was resubmitted without any discussion on the talk page, only with an edit summary, which is not what was requested.

Please go to the Teahouse and discuss whether and how the subject can satisfy musical notability criteria. If that discussion is useful, we can convert the rejection into a decline to permit resubmission. If an attempt is made to resubmit this draft while it is still rejected, without discussing it first, it may be nominated for deletion, or a topic-ban may be requested against its resubmission.

Discuss at Talk:Daniel Aged or at the Teahouse.
