You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Don Martin (public affairs consultant). Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Please stop the disruption, otherwise you may be blocked from editing. --moreno oso (talk) 02:08, 29 May 2010 (UTC)

>--Ray L Henry My apologies re being unaware of the three-revert rule. I will not make an additional edits to your notation. Several persons and I have been working on refining this listing. I have been voluntarily editing Mr. Martin's page and am currently in the process as we speak of adding proper links to the page from other Wikipedia sources. Mr. Martin is a notable person within Austin Tx for his many contributions to various major referendum elections such as the Bergstrom Airport bond campaign, the Round Rock Express Stadium, Westbank Library District formation; Sales Tax Election; and many more such efforts as well as 21 years of public affairs advice to the numerous significant clients, the city, the Chamber of Commerce and four Mayors, and as an author of a historical Austin book in 2009. He is a sort of elder statesman in civic affairs in Austin.

Your advice and counsel on how to make the article more responsible or acceptable would be greatly appreciated. The article is highly referenced with numerous internal Wikipedia citations as well as 29 published articles and sources. I apprecaite any advice you may have and your patience as I make the additional links. -- Ray Henry (no relation to Don Martin) 20 May 2010

File copyright problem with File:Fountain SHQ.JPG

Thank you for uploading File:Fountain SHQ.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 19:20, 30 May 2010 (UTC)

This was a photograph taken by me. I cannot find the proper copyright tag for such an instance. Please advice. Thanks. Austin3301 (talk) 19:40, 30 May 2010 (UTC)

Talkback

As I noted on the talk page, if you prefer not to add the information, I will be happy to take care of it. Regards GregJackP (talk) 23:16, 30 May 2010 (UTC)

And as I noted, after you asked for it to be mentioned I imemdiately (albeit reluctantly) added an "Errata" section with a brief statement re the lawsuit. You instead DELETED it and wrote an entire Treatise on the subject. My disagreemet with this is a matter of "proportionality." Austin3301 16:32, 1 June 2010 (UTC)

Request for Comment for Don Martin (Austin, TX)

I have corrected the RfC tag that you placed on the Don Martin article. The RfC was posted at the Policies and Guidance page, which is designed for comments on Wikipedia Policies, not for articles. The correction I made posted it on the Biographies page, with a cross listing on the Politics, Government & Law page. The correction was not intended to stiffle your request, but merely to place it in the correct location to obtain comments that are germane to the issue at hand. Regards, GregJackP (talk) 15:18, 1 June 2010 (UTC)

Possibly unfree File:Don2008jpeg.jpg

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Don2008jpeg.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. If the file's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the file description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. GregJackP (talk) 14:22, 2 June 2010 (UTC)

Don Martin photo

I know that you weren't aware as you were not the uploader of the older photo, but there is a copyright question on it also. The photo appears on Don Martin's site with a copyright notice, and there is nothing in the file upload to show that the uploader holds the rights to the photo. Until it's resolved, either photo could be used, if I understand Wikipedia policy correctly. It is not certain that either is a copyvio. Regards, GregJackP (talk) 17:25, 2 June 2010 (UTC)

Round in Circles tag - Don Martin article

Austin, the round in circle tag is designed to prevent us from going through the same discussions over and over, such as when one of the AfD editors came in and started to remove items from the positive areas of the article. It can be set to search (search=yes) or not search (search=no) the archives. My thought was a search feature was better, since if they were looking for something that wasn't there, the search would turn up nothing and they would not go read it. I thought if there was no search feature, they would be more inclined to open it and read the entire archive page. I'm not going to put it back, but would ask that you consider self-reverting it, to prevent what appears will be a recurring problem. Also, I noted that you said something about me retiring from Wiki - I believe you were probably mistaking Giftiger for me. I'm much better looking... :D Regards, GregJackP (talk) 18:31, 7 June 2010 (UTC)

Oops you're right. It WAS Giftiger. sorry. Will also revert. I'm trying hard to get off this discussion and out of this page. Taking up too much time. Austin3301 (talk) 20:52, 7 June 2010 (UTC)

Signing Off Don Martin page

  • I admit that I have beecome too close (inappropriately close) and too emotional re the editing of the Don Martin (public affairs) page legal issues. Therefore I am bowing out of further edits to the page. The previous discussions re the page have been archived above. Austin3301 (talk) 02:00, 12 June 2010 (UTC)

Your name has been mentioned in connection with a sockpuppetry case. Please refer to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Dmartinaus for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to cases before editing the evidence page. GregJackP (talk) 15:52, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
