Links from other articles to the CBS article

[edit]

Hi Barry.b.benson,

Thanks for your edits to Wikipedia! I made a few changes to your new article to bring it a bit closer in line with Wikipedia style. It often takes a while to learn these things so don't worry too much if you get them a bit wrong. I see you started adding cross links between articles which is highly valued in Wikipedia. I think that not all of the ones you added are quite relevant enough to merit inclusion. For example, I didn't think that the CBS article warrants a link from the Biological database article. There are literally thousands of biological databases and things would get out of hand if everyone added a cross link there :) I think it is reasonable to include CBS in cross links for microscopy databases and perhaps some of the more specialised microscopy articles. A good rule of thumb when adding these cross links is do you think it will help the average reader of that article to add the cross link? A bad reason is because you want to drive more people to read the more specialised article or to the database you are writing about. Hope all that helps and makes sense. Best of luck with your Wikipedia editing! Alexbateman (talk) 16:28, 14 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
