Woodhead Route[edit]

I left a note on the Manchester-Sheffield-Wath talk page - would welcome your reply.

I don't think you should write 'an almost criminal waste of infrastructure' (even though I might tend to agree in this case) - it lacks a bit of gravitas :-) Bob aka Linuxlad 18:41, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Cheers for the edits, i'm a southern fairy with little northern knowledge Pickle 07:14, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! Given that for the latter part of my life I've lived in the South, I'm challenging for fairy status too! BaseTurnComplete 11:46, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

SVFR rewrite[edit]

I have just noticed this and there are several aspects of your rewrite which I think are not correct. Thought I had better be polite and say I will be undoing some of it. Please, let's continue discussion on the article's talk page, where others may see it and comment, should they wish. Paul Beardsell 10:08, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No problems, I'm happy to be corrected. Will continue there. BaseTurnComplete 11:07, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Wath-upon-dearne.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Wath-upon-dearne.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. FASTILYsock (TALK) 21:42, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there BaseTurn. I saw that you have made a lot of contributions to aviation-related articles on Wikipedia, specifically on airspace and SVFR. I'm a very new private pilot (got my certificate Apr 4th, 2010) who has started an aviation wiki because I could not find a single place to find and discover information about flying/aviation. I'm looking to start building a community to develop the content.. right now it's in *very* early stages, but feel free to check it out and edit however you like- we'll see how it shapes up. It's located at http://www.av8rs.org.

The article Night flight in the UK has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article has been unreferenced for six years, non-notable subject, fails WP:GNG

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Disambiguation link notification for December 8[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Sterling area, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bretton Woods. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. File source problem with File:Rockingham porcelain.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Rockingham porcelain.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

ATTENTION: This is an automated, BOT-generated message. This bot DID NOT nominate your file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 31 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination for deletion of Template:Dearne and Dove Canal Elsecar branch map[edit]

Template:Dearne and Dove Canal Elsecar branch map has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for discussion page. AlgaeGraphix (talk) 19:22, 19 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Template:Dearne and Dove Canal Worsborough branch map requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion because it is an unused duplicate of another template, or a hard-coded instance of another template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is not actually the same as the other template noted, please consider putting a note on the template's page explaining how this one is different so as to avoid any future mistakes.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
