Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Masjid al-Haram

Sources and Edit Summaries

[edit]

Hello. I see you've already been warned about using misleading edit summaries. Please do not summarise edits as "Fixed Typo" when it is clear that you are adding or altering content, and not fixing a typographical error. Mislabelling edits can be mistaken to be an attempt to conceal what you are doing, which is disruptive or vandalism. So it's important to be accurate in summaries.

Please also remember to cite reliable sources on added content. This is particularly important when adding information that is negative to a biography. You will find your edit gets reverted if you do not do this. Thanks. Escape Orbit (Talk) 14:56, 22 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to repeat the notice above: please do not summarize your edits as "fixed typo" when you are in fact adding or changing content, as you did recently at Mimar Sinan. Moreover, this edit at Islamic architecture actually added grammatical errors rather than fixing typos. If you're not fully confident in your English writing abilities, I'd suggest you refrain from making grammatical edits; you can always ask editors on the article talk page to look at parts of the article where you think there's a mistake but you're not sure how to fix it yourself. Either way, can you please make your edit summaries clearer and more accurate in the future? R Prazeres (talk) 15:12, 26 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
PS: Your edits at Mimar Sinan also added unsourced content, some of which is clearly wrong, such as attributing the Bayezid II complexes in Edirne and Istanbul to Sedefkar Mehmed Agha, when they were built well before his time. Another reason to be clearer in your edit summaries, so potential mistakes are not overlooked. R Prazeres (talk) 15:20, 26 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Belmin.agic, you've already had multiple warnings about this: please stop labelling your edits as "fixed typo" when you are not in fact fixing typos, as you did again here. If you do this again, intentionally or not, this could be considered disruptive editing and could even potentially get you blocked from editing. Can you please acknowledge this message and commit to writing more accurate edit summaries? R Prazeres (talk) 23:28, 2 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Keep images proportionate to the scope of the topic

[edit]

Hi Belmin.agic, please keep in mind that Wikipedia is a global encyclopedia, so when you're adding content, consider whether you're adding disproportionate attention to one very small part of that topic. It's entirely normal to be interested some specific topics, but keep in mind that articles must still have a worldwide view. In these edits at muqarnas ([1]) and ablaq ([2]), you added many images of one specific mosque in Sarajevo. In each topic there is a huge range of examples to draw from across the world, and this places exaggerated emphasis on one local monument. Have a look at the general guidelines for images at MOS:IMAGES and try to keep them in mind. In particular, note the first guideline that encourages pertinence and variety. So adding a new image to increase variety is fine, but adding 9 images of the same thing in an article of much wider scope (like you did at muqarnas) is not very reasonable. I hope this advice helps for your future edits. Thanks, R Prazeres (talk) 20:45, 22 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
