Image tagging for Image:322 loginov new heros1.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:322 loginov new heros1.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Masha Shubina, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Spam, and creating articles that involve a conflict of interest

[edit]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Maxim Mamsikov, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

I've also tagged the other artists' articles you recently created that seem to have the same notability problems. Wikipedia is not the right place to promote artists, especially if you are trying to sell works by them.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Jehochman (Talk/Contrib) 16:09, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Policy warning

[edit]

Please review Wikipedia:Conflict of interest, Wikipedia:Spam, and Wikipedia:Autobiography. Wikipedia does not condone the creation of articles in order to promote a gallery or its artists, nor is it appropriate for a firm to manipulate Wikipedia in order to increase its Google ranking or increase traffic to its websites. Also see Wikipedia:Copyrights: attempts to upload original works of art by living artists and release them under copyleft licensure may infringe upon those artists' lawful rights and livelihoods.

The following essays provide good advice in this area.[1][2] I hope you adapt to this site and its operating standards. Be aware that future infractions could result in editing blocks. DurovaCharge! 16:32, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

some of this are possibly notable

[edit]

I have tried to discern which of this might possibly be notable, and have changed the speedy tag to a proposed deletion if I think it is not obviously non-notable, and removed the tag altogether if think it notable. Since I am not the author of the article, I can do this. -- I basically looked to see if there appeared to be real 3rd party references, and some international notice. You could do two important things to decrease the number of deletions:

  1. Be selective. Read the criteria mentioned above--the ones only at the beginning of their career are not notable for WP purposes.
  2. Always put in a third party reference or two,to published sources, preferably to a published review article or the like. Personal web sites and blogs do not count for this.

But I remind other justifiably annoyed editors dealing with this, that speedy, is for obviously , incontestably non-notable, and its overuse doe not help WP. Articles that do assert notability can not be deleted any time- if the notability is questionable, prod or AfD is the process. Assert means "Make a claim to" , and tit has to be pretty obviously impossible not to do that.

Nor do I consider that the articles added are so inappropriate as to constitute disruption. I do wish they would be written better in the first place. DGG 00:23, 3 April 2007 (UTC) DGG 00:23, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Alexander Gnilitskiy

[edit]

An editor has nominated Alexander Gnilitskiy, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Alexander Gnilitskiy and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. Ludmila Bereznitsky

[edit]

I have just removed the speedy tag on Ludmila Bereznitsky because i think the subject is almost certainly notable; however, i would not be surprised if it were challenged/.Please make certain it is not copied from some other source; if it is, and you own the copyright, follow our procedures for giving permission. In any case please ensure there are adequate third party references for the article (and it would be advisable to have someone with a firm command of English edit it.)DGG 03:13, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

General Warning about Many inappropriate articles

[edit]

Please stop. If you continue to ignore our policies by introducing inappropriate pages, such as the many articles on artists exhibited by your gallery, to Wikipedia, you will be blocked.

another COI example

[edit]

I´d like to reply to the many alerts and message I found on the talking page of Bereznitsky Gallery. I´m more than sorry for having "spammed" wikipedia with halfgrown articles. I just now got to read the messages. I am working in the behalf of the gallery but more than understand your point and will remove the articles tacked with missing notability asap.

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Kyrill Protsenko, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you want to delete an article your wrote,

[edit]

having thought better of it, all you need to do is to go the top of the articles page and type {{db-authors request}} and say a few words in the edit summary. It will be deleted in a few hours. This only works if nobody has really edited it after you, of course. People do it all the time. Give it a try, see WP:CSD for details. DGG 08:21, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Bereznitsky-gallery! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 696 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Victor Sydorenko - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Illya Chichkan - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

File permission problem with File:305 shubina backside 07.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:305 shubina backside 07.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ▫ JohnnyMrNinja 10:01, 30 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File:Zz6.jpg missing description details

[edit]
Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as File:Zz6.jpg is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors to make better use of the image, and it will be more informative for readers.

If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

If you have any questions please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 09:31, 29 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:396 mikhailov moments1.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

File source problem with File:Tsagolov bantits clash.JPG

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Tsagolov bantits clash.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
