If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on A Play Entitled Sehnsucht requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.  Abhishek  Talk 11:49, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article A Play Entitled Sehnsucht has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not notable film

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with A Play Entitled Sehnsucht. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. License tagging for File:Beiroots.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Beiroots.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 17:06, 23 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Editing with a conflict of interest

[edit]

I'd like to bring your attention to the Wikipedia policy about editing with a conflict of interest, which you can find here. Editing with a COI is not disallowed, but steps must be taken to assure that the conflicted editor's contributions fulfills the Wikipedia requirement to maintain a neutral point of view. Please be sure to read these policies and edit with an awareness of them. Thanks. Beyond My Ken (talk) 17:53, 23 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Just to add, another policy you should be aware of is that Wikipedia is not a vehicle for promoting a product or service. It is not a new format for advertising, and should not be used to push a film in front of the public. When a product or service has reached a state of notability on its own, then (and only then) should there be a Wikipedia article about it. We do not allow Wikipedia articles to help create notability by promoting an otherwise little known product, service or person. Beyond My Ken (talk) 18:18, 23 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I've asked at the administrators' noticeboard for advice concerning userfying your articles, a possibility we discussed on my talk page. You can find the discussion here. Beyond My Ken (talk) 20:47, 23 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If you haven't already, please take a look at the discussion I linked above, in which a number of issue were raised that you need to deal with:

  • In one of the Article for Deletion discussions (AfDs), a question of copyright violation ("copyvio") was raised, because text was taken directly from the film's website. Wikipedia has strict policies regarding copyright violations, so, as one editor put it, this could be a "deal breaker". If you are the owner of the copyright on this material, you can arrange for it to be used here, but you must do so by going to WP:OTRS and following the instructions there on how to establish your ownership. Once you do that, that material should be fine, but if you do not, then the articles cannot be userfied, because copyright violations are not allowed in any part of Wikipedia, including userspace.
  • If you note, in tfe AfDs some editors have agreed that the articles might be userfied, but not forever, only as a temporary measure until they can be brought up to notability standards. Since you clearly have a conflict of interest regarding the film, you must be extremely careful to make sure all of your editing fulfills our standards regarding neutral point of view, reliability of sources and verifiability.
  • In any event, the guidance I have received is that the AfDs need to run their course, and should not be usurped by userfying your article while the discussions are still running. Feel free, however, to do your best to continue improving the articles top bring them up to our standards. You should know that if the articles are deleted, any administrator can still undelete and move them to your userspace in the future, should more citations from reliable sources become available.

These requirements may appear bureaucratic to you, but bear in mind that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia created by volunteer non-experts, and our policies are safeguards to ensure that the information we present to the public is as accurate and balanced as possible. Best of luck. Beyond My Ken (talk) 04:03, 24 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • As you can see, one of the articles has been deleted for copyvio reasons already, so if you are the owner of the copyright to the information on that website, you need to establish your bona fides with WP:OTRS as soon as possible. Beyond My Ken (talk) 08:12, 24 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It's really tiring and heart breaking! So much work and time has been spent to create these 3 pages, and now, they're simply deleted for the lack of secondary sources which we didn't include because they're in arabic or french (native languages of the country) such a shame really, obviously wikipedia requires some professional editor to create and document in it, which we lack of course...deleted, and there's nothing I can do about it because there's a lot of technical procedures to be done(which am ignorant of doing, or/and don't have the time to do in this period of time...) Thank you for everything, at least we tried...--Bernard-Zeidan (talk) 13:23, 24 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
