Myanmar Current Leader

[edit]

By the Constitution of Myanmar, the head of the state and government is the President. The National League for Democracy, led by Aung San Su Kyi won in major parts in the Myanmar general election, 2015. But Aung San Su Kyi is constitutionally barred from becoming President of Myanmar as her husband Michael Aris and her two children hold British nationality. So Htin Kyaw became the president and Myint Swe and Henry Van Thio became VP. Aung San Su Kyi holds the posts for four main ministers, minister for Foreign affairs, President office, Electrical Power, and Education. But on 6 April,2016. the post ,State Counsellor, was created for Aung San Su Kyi. The roles of the State Counsellor are similar to the Prime Minister. She is only the deputy head of the government above the vice presidents under the president. Her position in the cbinet is only second position. But, Some personal attachment and blind patriot make people to be misled the post for the leader of Myanmar. In reallity, the roles of the president is missing under the state counsellor. The criticisms say that the president is look like a Puppet.According to the constitution, the leader of Myanmar is the PRESIDENT, HTIN KYAW.--User:Thutaa (talk)

Invitation from Wikipedia Asian Month 2016

[edit]

Thanks for partipating Wikipedia Asian Month last year, and I hope you enjoy it. Last year, more than 7,000 articles contribute to Wikipedia in 43 languages in Wikipedia Asian Month, making us one of the largest event on Wikipedia. We will organize this event again in upcoming November, and would like to invite you join us again.

This year, we are lowering down the standards that you only need to create 4 (Four) articles to receive a postcard (new design), and articles only need to be more than 3,000 bytes and 300 words. We are also improving our postcard sending process, e.g. making the postcards right now, and collecting the address after the event ends without waiting other languges.

Wikipedians who create the most articles on each Wikipedia will be honored as "Wikipedia Asian Ambassadors". We will send you both digital copy, and a paper copy of the Ambassador certificate.

Thank you for considering! --AddisWang (talk)

Hello, Billytanghh,

I just wanted to check with you about the page you tagged for speedy deletion. You are asking for an article in Draft space to be deleted so you can move an article in main space, back to Draft space? It's an unusual request, one that we ordinarily don't see (they are usually going in the opposite direction) so I wanted to double-check with you about it. Thank you. Liz Read! Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited MTR, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Exhibition Centre station. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

On 26 July 2022, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article The Illegal Immigrant, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/The Illegal Immigrant. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, The Illegal Immigrant), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Recent edits concerning Hong Kong

[edit]

Hello, I am writing to you concerning your edits that seem to be misinformed about the status of Hong Kong. Hong Kong is a Special Administrative Region of China, not an independent country. There is consensus on this and wikipedia should reflect what reliable sources indicate. I can list you a few examples:

[157] Financial times

[158] Finacial times

[159] Financial times

[160] The Diplomat

[161] China Review

[162] AFP

[163] Journal of Travel Research

[164] Reuters

[165] The Guardian

These are all reputable and independent sources of information, upon such wikipedia is written as stated in WP:VERIFY. Moreover HK is internationally recognised as part of China, even by countries that stand against the Chinese government. Lastly, above all else, Hong Kong itself doesn't claim independence. Therefore I firmly oppose your recent edits. Wikipedia is not a place to WP:RIGHTGREATWRONGS and it should be used to inform readers, not mislead them. I appreciate passion about an issue, but this is not the way to do so.

Best regards, Andro611 (talk) 11:17, 8 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

No one would call Gibraltar, UK or Aruba, Netherlands, same as the case in Hong Kong.—Billytanghh (talk) 11:29, 8 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Well indeed they are not the same. Aruba is a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands but not a part of the Netherlands while Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory, but not part of the UK. Hong Kong is constitutionally defined as a special administrative region which is per the Hong Kong Basic Law Chapter 1 Article 1 an “inalienable part of the People's Republic of China”. The common similarity between all three territories is that they are not sovereign nations like Taiwan or Sweden.
Best regards. Andro611 (talk) 12:05, 8 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:EOS (girl group)

Do not add {{db-g5}} to articles unless the creator has been unambiguously identified as a sock and blocked. And do not add speedy tags again after thye have been removed by an admin. If you think a page really needs to be deleted, use WP:AFD or explain to the admin who removed the speedy tag. —Kusma (talk) 15:48, 5 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
