Hi,

Please find my following response:

  1. I'm an Employee of Bitsmedia, which is the parent company for the Muslim Pro app.
  2. The purpose of putting up a wiki page for Muslim Pro has nothing to do with any sort of advertising or promotions. It is because of the number of users that our app has (121 million) and how we want them to have a proper understanding of what Muslim Pro is from the perspective of others.
  3. We simply wanted to kickstart the process and eventually get edits from the general public so that there is information provided about Muslim Pro from the majority.
  4. I submitted this in our own capacity instead of putting it up for 'articles for creation' is because this is a religious utility app and we wanted it to start off from the right perspective, in case it cause issues within the community if different people proposed its existence differently.

I hope this clarifies. It would be very grateful if you can lead me in the right path moving forward. We also have no issues with all disclosures.

Apologies if my reply is not in the right format as I'm quite unfamiliar with the formatting here.

Looking forward to your reply.

Hello Bitsmedia. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Draft:Muslim Pro (app), gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Bitsmedia. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Bitsmedia|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. --Worldbruce (talk) 17:44, 17 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for acceptance of the new username. I will henceforth comply by the guidelines of the COI and WP contribution. If there is a need to edit, than will request for changes and not directly edit myself. I love what wikipedia offers the world in the bigger picture and like to contribute to other articles if something engages me. I am looking into writing with regards to futurist movements and new technologies if something is not already listed. I am exploring what is new and is not yet written, Bitsmedia (talk) 06:25, 5 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

AfC notification: Draft:Muslim Pro (app) has a new comment

[edit]
I've left a comment on your Articles for Creation submission, which can be viewed at Draft:Muslim Pro (app). Thanks! DoubleGrazing (talk) 15:09, 23 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for reviewing! Re your comment:
  • Comment: FWIW, I think this is quite an interesting app, and possibly even notable, but I will not do a proper analysis of the sources, because I couldn't approve the draft in its present state. If the author can rewrite this in a neutral, factual tone, instead of sounding like it came from the marketing department, I'm happy to take another look. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 15:09, 23 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Could you specify which sections/sub-sections should be edited? I've significantly revised the entire copy down but will need a clearer and detailed feedback what exactly needs to be revised. Thank you. Bitsmedia (talk) 10:55, 24 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, can I get updates on this please? Thank you. Bitsmedia (talk) 07:36, 7 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi DoubleGazing, have made all the changes without source support or anything that feels as if it was written from a marketing rather than a factual standpoint. totally understand your issue with it. Its been some time since your last input, really looking forward to hearing your feedback. Bitsmedia (talk) 08:50, 13 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Requested username:

Request reason:

The account under which I had initially started was when I was new to writing in for wiki. So, I had created the username under the company name thinking it needed to be relevant. Somehow, there was a paid contribution tag that came about with more rigorous guidelines. I had followed through with the guidelines after which. Bitsmedia (talk) 07:57, 4 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Your choice of new username would be acceptable. Please tell us in another request how you will comply with guidelines like WP:COI and WP:PAID going forward, and also describe any subjects unrelated to your company or its products that you might edit about. 331dot (talk) 08:58, 4 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
