Hello, B kushinsky, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your recent contributions, such as your edit to the page Shirin Neshat, seem to be advertising or for promotional purposes. Hi! It looks as if you've done nothing since you came here but add short unreferenced mentions of Eyebeam (organization). That probably is not a great idea, as those mentions add little or nothing to our knowledge of the various artists, and – taken all together – your edits could be seen as promotional. Could I suggest looking for some different way to contribute to the project? Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 00:03, 28 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Theroadislong. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Sarah Cook (curator), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Please take a moment to read up on policy and MOS

Hello B kushinski,

You have contributed a large number of good faith edits to artist's biographies, adding a brief sentence about their involvement with Eyebeam. There are some problems with your edits, and I'm concerned that your contributions create work for other editors who now need to fix problems that you have created. You have been reminded that you need to provide a source, which you appear have been doing since the reminder, but the source you choose is not ideal, as is is a primary source. Please read up on WP:PRIMARY. Also, you have been adding the Eyebeam material to the lead of the article, as you did here. The lead is the summary of the body, and should not contain miscellany that is not covered in the remainder of the article Please see MOS:LEAD. I don't mean to discourage you, but I urge you to consider the impact of your edits on other editors. Don't hesitate to ask for help at the Teahouse All the best, Mduvekot (talk) 16:53, 28 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:Joo Youn Paek, from its old location at User:Bmk567/sandbox/Joo Youn Paek. This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. /wiae /tlk 18:33, 16 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

[edit]

Hello, Bmk567. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
