Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but it appears you have written or added to an article about yourself, at Pratik Dnyaneshwar Patil (Bunty). Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Control copyright icon Hello Buntypratik2u, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to Pratik Dnyaneshwar Patil (Bunty) have been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 15:46, 5 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@DESiegel: The user also removed CSD tags from the self-created page. See the relevant report at WP:AIV. jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk) 15:47, 5 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Problems with your recent edits

[edit]

Stop icon Your edits have so far all been to Pratik Dnyaneshwar Patil (Bunty), which has now been deleted. This appears to be a autobiography. Creating autobiographies on Wikipedia is strongly discouraged. In the course of creating and editing this article, you removed speedy deletion tags placed by other users several times, after warnings not to do so. That is not acceptable -- do not do it in the future, or you will be blocked from further editing.

The article you created did not cite any reliable sources. Articles about living people must cite appropriate sources. verifibility is a core principle here. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 17:18, 5 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article you created included substantial text copied from another web site. For legal reasons Wikipedia cannot and will not accept articles which violate, or probably violate, anyone's copyright. Do not copy text or images from other sites. If you wrote the text or created the images, you could follow the procedure at Donating Copyrighted Materiel. But it is normally better to reword information in your own words, new for a Wikipedia article. Inserting content that violates anyone's copyright into Wikipedia will result in you being blocked from editing.

The article you created seemed to be indented to promote its subject. Such promotion is not acceptable at Wikipedia. Articles must be neutral.

Stop icon Stop this disruptive editing now. Any further edits of this type will result in a block. If you want help in creating legitimate Wkipedia articles, try asking at the Teahouse or leave a message on my talk page. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 17:17, 5 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you create an inappropriate page, as you did at Bunty Patil. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 10:46, 19 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Bunty Patil, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Removing speedy deletion tags

[edit]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to remove speedy deletion notices from pages you created yourself, as you did at Bunty Patil, you may be blocked from editing. Melcous (talk) 12:01, 19 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing, because it is clear that you are not here to contribute to building the encyclopedia. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may request an unblock by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 12:18, 19 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Actually i was just checking how create a perfect design, it was just an experiment nothing else, so i please unblock me as soon as possible. Buntypratik2u 05:48, 12 August 2017 (UTC)

Decline reason:

It seems your entire purpose is the promotion of a non-notable person, with copyright issues thrown in for good measure. I do not think unblocking you would improve the encyclopedia. Huon (talk) 11:53, 12 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
