Patrick He

The article Patrick He has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Well, I have a question. I wrote an article about Patrick He, who was an author, which was why he was notable, so why was it deleted? If there was something else wrong with it, I would be glad to know and then change it and re-create the page. Cat1234 22:21, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Death Penalty Report

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Death Penalty Report, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Since it sounds like an essay, is there a way to make it seem more like an article? Also, if I changed it that way, and added it to the Capital Punishment article, would it be okay?Cat1234 22:23, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia! I think the reason your article was nominated for speedy deletion as nonsense it that is it presents it as fact instead of as a ghost story or legend. Check out Zwarte Piet or a good example of an article on a character from folklore. Good luck! User:Mcwatson

Speedy deletion of Stanley's Password
