[edit]Hello ChallengerTwo. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Draft:Sky Wave Gin, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:ChallengerTwo. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=ChallengerTwo|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Hello. I noticed in one your edits that you declared a COI with Sky Wave Gin. While you might not have been directly paid for the article itself, you are still employed by the subject which means you have an indirect financial stake in the article. As such, this needs to be properly disclosed. Disclosing in just one edit is not considered proper disclosure. Please see the above links for applicable policy. Please understand that paid editing is highly discouraged and faces just about the strictest scrutiny there is in the review process. Please let me know if you have questions. Sulfurboy (talk) 22:49, 17 April 2020 (UTC)
Hi Sulfurboy and thanks for your message and advice. I can confirm that I am NOT being paid, directly or indirectly, to make this entry. I have declared such in my userpage.
- You have stated you are an employee of the company. That is considered by our policies to be an indirect financial stake in the company, thus making you a paid editor. Please take the time to read the above applicable policies and abide by our standards. Please do not continue to edit until this is done. Thanks Sulfurboy (talk) 23:04, 17 April 2020 (UTC)

Hi Sulfurboy, thank you for your extremely helpful comments. I will review the links you included.
Notability
[edit]Hi ChallengerTwo, thanks for communicating with me and other editors regarding Draft:Sky Wave Gin. Unfortunately, as has been said in previous messages, it seems as if your gin is simply not notable enough (yet) to be included in Wikipedia, regardless of how well-sourced or neutral your article is, and the draft is almost certain to not be accepted. I would encourage you to wait for a while for your product to gain significant notability and only then try resubmitting a draft.
Thank you, Passengerpigeon (talk) 03:45, 21 April 2020 (UTC)
Dear User:Passengerpigeon Thank you again for your comments and help.
