Pugs

I never edited or even read Pugs, I think there may be a mistake mate. I don't know anything about it, have you warned the right person? --210.49.178.109 (talk) 02:35, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

Question

I just checked on Leastminor. It appears you deleted both the user page and the talk page and protected only the talk page, but not the user page. Is this what you intended? Was deletion required at all? Rmhermen (talk) 16:57, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

Yes, please see Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Grawp. The talkpage is protected to stop him from recreating it with a page that crashes your web browser. --Chris 02:52, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
shouldn't the user page have been protected as well? Rmhermen (talk) 21:58, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
No, accounts can only edit their talkpage when they're blocked --Chris 02:03, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
But socks can. Rmhermen (talk) 03:12, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
I suppose so --Chris 03:55, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

Archiving bot for bot page

Can your bot also archive this page: Wikipedia:Bots/Requests_for_approval/Approved? Ideally the bot should archive the page after the bot is listed on WP:POST. =Nichalp «Talk»= 08:30, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

I don't think we need an archive bot for there yet, and if we did it would be best for it to be done by User:BAGBot --Chris 09:17, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Blocked?

You blocked and unblocked yourself ?? :) -- Tinu Cherian - 08:03, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Multiple times, I'm just testing settings etc. Also looking at MediaWiki:Blockedtext --Chris 08:08, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
OK. Ok. No problems... I was wondering why.. thtz all.. Take care -- Tinu Cherian - 09:23, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

CVU

I noticed after looking at the Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit/Task Force/statustemplate that statusbot is not working, but SoxBot V is working. I was wondering what is needed to make this page function properly. Can you help with this?Becky Sayles (talk) 23:29, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

Please see User:StatusBot, all the status bots have been shutdown --Chris 02:28, 18 July 2008 (UTC)

Protections

It appears we are duplicating our efforts. I see you have a cascading page for the featured articles. There is another page doing to the same thing, see Wikipedia:Main_Page/Protection. I have been adding only the templates that aren't already protected to that page. Do you think there is any benefit to your page that the other page doesn't have? Or vice virsa? The problems I see are that by copying the whole article you are adding to the categories, and protecting the image pages where there could be a legitimate need to edit. I also think it's probably better that this work is done on a public page instead of buried in userspace. Thanks! KnightLago (talk) 14:24, 18 July 2008 (UTC)

Ah, I was unaware that such a page already existed. I have deleted my page --Chris 02:28, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
Ok, please feel free to help keep the page up-to-date. While I did not create it, I have been the only one updating it. So any help would be appreciated. Thanks! KnightLago (talk) 02:56, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
I have written a bot to update the page(see here for more info on me and admin bots) --Chris 10:01, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

Re: WP:CHU

I thought there was something wrong with the bot as it had not archived the earlier not done ones for some days now. In addition, I was looking for zero bureaucrat work tomorrow: (a clean page for CHU and RFA, a rare double). :) =Nichalp «Talk»= 10:23, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

Not necessary to shorten, but I noticed that if comments were added after the {{not done}} template was added, the bot was choosy about archiving. Could you investigate this? The ones I had archived were rusting for a few days. =Nichalp «Talk»= 12:23, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

That vandal with the uppercase username

Seen it all before. I accidently downgraded your user talk protection but I don't think it'll matter. Cheers. -- Longhair\talk 12:19, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

What information you want to open my account? I have the IP address of my bot, IP range of my logs, my (as user) web browser's information. Where I can post this information?--144.122.250.86 (talk) 10:05, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

Questions

Nice job with the bot. I have a few questions, though I don't want to ask them on here. Do you use IRC? KnightLago (talk) 15:20, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

Well, I know you use IRC, I guess I will just have to catch you on it. KnightLago (talk) 15:24, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
That might be a bit hard now that school is back, but you can also email me --Chris 08:27, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
Is your bot working? I noticed Wikipedia:Main Page/Protection hasn't been updated yet and time is ticking. Can you let me know on my talk page or I will have to manually do the protections? Thanks. KnightLago (talk) 21:51, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

Bot archive

Hi! We still need a bot for Wikipedia:Bots/Requests for approval/Approved. I put up a request for BAGbot to do this, but no response as yet. :( Could your bot also take care of that page? =Nichalp «Talk»= 13:26, 27 July 2008 (UTC)

I'm going to be away for a few days, and I've got a few other things to deal with but I've put this on my todo list and I'll hopefuly get around to doing it soon. --Chris 13:05, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
