Disguising era style changes with misleading edit summaries[edit]
Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours has an edit summary that appears to be inaccurate or inappropriate. The summaries are helpful to people browsing an article's history, so it is important that you use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did. Feel free to use the sandbox to make test edits. Thank you. Doug Weller talk 13:08, 2 June 2019 (UTC)
Your edits weren't correcting or clarifying dates as your edit summaries claimed, because you didn't change the dates, you changed the established era styles. You need to follow WP:ERA. It should be obvious that edit summaries should accurately reflect the changes made, and when editors persist in this type of action we generally consider it disruptive and block. Follow our guideline on era styles and make more accurate edit summaries and you have nothing to worry about. Doug Weller talk 13:12, 2 June 2019 (UTC)
