Information icon Please do not write or add to an article about yourself, as you apparently did at Colin R Singer Canadian Immigration Lawyer. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Hi, thanks for message. You can sign your comments automatically using four tildes ~~~~. I deleted your article because

  • it did not provide adequate independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. It is now Wikipedia policy that biographical articles about living people must have independent verifiable references, as defined in the link, or they will be deleted. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to you, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting you claim or interviewing you. Most of your references are your own or affiliated pages, and much of the text was unreferenced anyway.
  • Before I deleted as spam, the article had already been nominated for a deletion discussion on the grounds "Non-notable person, fails WP:BIO"
  • it was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic.
  • You included your job in the title, which should just be Colin R Singer
  • Examples of unsourced or improperly sourced claims presented as fact include: ... one of Canada's foremost senior corporate immigration attorneys... became one of Canada's first attorneys to establish an internet presence... He is a frequent contributor of written opinions and commentaries on government policy... his publications were rated as the most popular in Canada (link goes to your pages... committed to the advancement of the profession... creative behind Zombie Boy... a global leader in the sport-utility vehicle... distinctive artistic expression of body modification captured through high fashion imagery... — basically a vanity page rather than an encyclopaedia article
  • Zombie Boy may be notable, but that doesn't make you notable

Please read the above carefully, because I don't want to waste your time if an article is unsustainable. If you still want me to do so, I'll sandbox the deleted text Jimfbleak - talk to me? 17:01, 9 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
