Are you Serbian Orthodox? Do you see yourself as a Serb from Montenegro or simply a montenegrin? nexm0d //just asking...

He doesn't consider himself a Serb. He's pro-independence, and that makes him a Montenegrin and probably a follower of the Montenegrin Orthodox Church... but hey, I'm guessing here :) --Manwe 20:20, 27 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Copyrighted lyrics

[edit]

In your edit to Sean Paul - We Be Burnin', you wrote:

Lyrics provided by User:CrnaGora. These lyrics are copyrighted and are allowed to be released into public domain.

That's not normally the case with copyrighted works, particularly in the case of commercially released songs. Without proof that the copyright holder has either explicitly released this work into the public domain or licenced it under the GFDL, I'm just going to have to assume that copying these lyrics is against Wikipedia's copyright policy. Absent that proof, could you please desist from copying entire copyrighted works into articles? -- The Anome 02:34, 26 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I see that you have replaced the lyrics again, this time with a request that they not be removed. Please don't do that; can you please read the copyright policy again before adding lyrics to any article? -- The Anome 02:38, 26 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I've reverted the lyrics... we don't necessarily have permission to copy them even if they're displayed on the singer's website. Also, the song should not be titled "Sean Paul - We Be Burnin'", this isn't in accordance with Wikipedia naming standards. "Sean Paul" isn't part of the song's title. -- Curps 02:58, 26 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

CrnaGora; I see that you have stated:

Lyrics provided by User:CrnaGora. These lyrics are copyrighted and are allowed to be released into public domain. The lyrics are also available on Sean Paul's official site and that would be proof that they are copyrighted work relesed into public domain.

That is not evidence of release into the public domain; allowing you to make viewing copies (which copyright holders can do at their sole discretion) is not the same thing as granting you a licence to make further copies. Please read the articles on copyright, contract law, and licence for more information on how copyright works; and please read public domain as well -- the term has a special meaning in copyright law that is different from just "available to the public". -- Karada 03:29, 26 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

You wrote on We Be Burnin': "Lyrics provided by User:CrnaGora. These lyrics are copyrighted and are allowed to be released into public domain. The lyrics are also available on Sean Paul's official site. I asked the copyright holder if I can have the lyrics for We Be Burnin' and if I can post the lyrics on Wikipedia and he said I can under one condition, nobody edit the lyrics for the song since I told him that in Wikipedia, articles can be edited." I have a very hard time believing this, as most song lyrics are copyrighted and all text contributions on Wikipedia (apart from very small extracts of copyrighted works) must be licensed under the GFDL. If the person who spoke with you said that the lyrics could only be used on Wikipedia, then this is not compliant with Wikipedia's aim to create a "free" encyclopedia that anybody can distribute. Anyway, I merged the We Be Burnin' page to The Trinity (album) as both articles were stubs. Extraordinary Machine 00:31, 30 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Your RfA

[edit]

Hi there, I would like to point out to you that most users who participate in the RfA process tend to perfer active contributors with a greater amount of edits and Wikipedia project particiaption. Your contributions are insufficient for people to draw any conclusions about you and your ability with respect to the project (see other users' standards here, what RfA contributors look for, and your edit review). I do recommend you withdraw your request for now, and become an active Wikipedia participant for a few months before trying for a future RfA. Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Dino Merlin.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hello! It's nice to meet someone from a neighbouring country that has different political affilation than it is "propaganded" in here.

I see that you are for full independence of the Republic of Montenegro. While I understant that affilation, I do not understand why do you support all the other countries on the world that desire independence.

Could you give me a brief summary? Thanks! --HolyRomanEmperor 16:20, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I draw descendency from Boka Kotorska and the Hills;

What do you think of eventual independence for Assyrians. I know it's along shot even for the Kurds to go that way, but you seem to support other independence movements.

Plav-Gusinje

[edit]

PANONIAN (talk) 22:51, 8 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Kingdom of Zeta

[edit]

Greetings. First, let me congratulate on a well-done job on Zeta. But secondly, are you sure that Zeta was a Kingdom? I mean, I know that the Nemanjics were Kings of Zeta, but Zeta was actually a constitutional principality. And as for the Balšićs and Crnojevićs, I can't really remember that one of them was a King. Wasn't Nikola I Petrović Njegoš the first King? --HolyRomanEmperor 13:33, 27 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Crnogorski referendum

[edit]

Šta je to "Collaboration of the Week"? PANONIAN (talk) 14:12, 11 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Montenegrin independence

[edit]

Out of various reasons, I think that Montenegro and Serbia should be two seperate (independent from each other) states. However, I strongly agree that economical and other union must be kept between the two states for easier common entrance into the European Union (one currency (Euro, perhaps, if not any other?), free right-of-passage). It would, AFAIC create a close union between the two states than it is now - but in reality, both states would finally be independent; an alternative that I find amazing.

Now, how about that Kingdom of Zeta issue? :) --HolyRomanEmperor 21:01, 11 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Odgovor

[edit]

Da, ja sam pravio te mape. Napravio sam ih u Photoshop programu. Re: Possible Future Administrator

[edit]

Thank you very much for your offer, User:CrnaGora. I wish to note to you that I already had an unsuccessful nomination some time ago, but the main problems (lack of edit summaries, namespace sections) where dealt with and that was a while ago. I have over 4,000 edits, so I think that I have also fulfilled that necessity. But that's not on me to decide - the voters will; and, based on numerious facts, judge whether I am valid or invalid for an administrator.

In short notice, I gladly accept your nomination.

P. S.

You're doing fine yourself. You have now around 1,000 edits; and if you keep it up for just a while longer - you could be an administrator too.

Regards. --HolyRomanEmperor 19:36, 16 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nezavisna...

[edit]

--serbiana talk 23:59, 11 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: WikiProject Montenegro

[edit]

I will be honoured to start that WikiProject. I'll do the basic shell as soon as I find time, while you can handle the inner fillings and attract more people to join the WikiProject.

But look at the highly-advanced Monarchies of the European Union: Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Spain or the Beneleux countries: the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxemburg... or what about Great Britain? --HolyRomanEmperor 20:31, 21 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The magnificent Petar II Petrović Njegoš is also one of my major articles. I tried to present him encyclopedicly as a person that adored poetry, philosophy, history and cherished Serbian nationality but at the same time made Montenegro strong, powerful and independent, so little on the map yet so big in the History of the Balkans and Europe... ah... too bad those days are over. :O) --HolyRomanEmperor 11:48, 22 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi

[edit]

I was wondering why would want independence for Montenegro? I'm Serb, about as old as you, living in the Peg. Let me start off by saying that Montenegro is a beautiful place. Sveti Stefan is absolutely amazing. Really, I've looked at this a lot, but what claims do you have that you are diverse from Serbs? I mean really, what would happen to our basketball team? I don't know how many are Montenegrin, not any I think, but I know the soccer team has a few I'm sure. The basketball team is doing bad anyways, but what happens if you guys do you get your independence? Wouldn't it be better to just stick through it? So what would happen if we won the World Cup (I pray we do, but unlikely), would you want to split then or celebrate with your fellow Serb brothers?

I'm not old enough to know what it's like there as I left when I was a small child and haven't returned but I know that Montenegrins (at least from what my folks tell me, not they're opinion though, they'd be happy living in Yugoslavia of 1980) is that you guys are sometimes or often made fun of by Serbs and others. Which I find dumb because we don't need to be even more seperated. Think about it. Montenegrin or Serb, it's the same religion, were the same religion (mostly), the same language, orally and written, that is unlike any other 2 "cultures" in the the former Yugoslavia. Croats are Catholic, so are Slovenes, but they have they're own language that's different ( I once had a teacher of Slovenian decent so I can tell you). Bosnians, well we don't know what they are. But anyways that's my argument, or opinion, I'm just wondering what you think. I'd really liked to have written this in Serbian/Montenegrin? but I'd probably take me an hour lol. Pitanje...?

[edit]

I can see that you changed the "crno gorski" language template from cyrillic to latin. My question is does "crno gorski" use latin or cyrillic. (I had a huge dispute with the Bosnian language template, since HRE wanted to add cyrillic. I did not like the addition of cyrillic. Hopefully, you will not have to go through a long battle, as we (Bosnians had to go through)). Also, when is Crna Gora splitting from Serbia, do you think that you guys will be able to "win" the referendum (ako bogda)!

Thanks, Kseferovic 19:17, 28 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I do not agree with your statement that Bosnian uses both. Serbs tend to say that they speak Serbian, not Bosnian. So, if they use cyrillic, they are in fact using Serbian. In Bosnia, all three languages are recognized, but the cyrillic part comes from the Serbian language. I am Bosnian (living outside of Bosnia) and have never learned cyrillic, so I do not feel that all Bosnians know/should know cyrillic, however, everyone (due to other languages such as English, German, etc.) must know latin. Not all Bosnians are represented by cyrillic, but all are by latin. Also putting cyrillic on the template implies that I understand, can write, and read cyrillic when I cannot.

Glas Crnogoraca

[edit]

You might want to read this Глас Црногораца/La Voix de Montenegro from 24 September 1920. It shows one of the main errors of the Belgrade government - what they did to Montenegro and the Montenegrin people. I've got loads of more info on that part. Since you're interested, tell me and I'll give some quotations of Nicholas I how he calls the Montenegrins for independence & similiar. --HolyRomanEmperor 20:39, 28 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I shamefully agree with you...

[edit]

You are entirely correct - my current place of residing is Belgrade. I am a (semi-)respected historian in here, so I have access to the United and Republican Archives as well as the City Archive - here's is also the greatest library of historical works in former Yugoslavia, so I suggest that might be the main issue - I have access to nearly the each and every part of Serbian history. But, can I be really blamed for that? --HolyRomanEmperor 14:58, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Reply Would be nice --Kris12

Cities of Montenegro

[edit]

However, the Bosnian language uses the Cyrillic scrypt as well. It's merely historical - the Bosnian Cyrillic is a famous old scrypt that was used and the Cyrillic was the standard scrypt in Bosnian Krajina. However, are you sure that Montenegrins don't use the Cyrillic scrypt, I mean, as long as I can remember, I saw much more Cyrilic than Latin in Montenegro; it's more historical, compared to the Latin scrypt and even Milo Djukanovich' (and other parties) of Montenegro use it: see Democratic Party of Socialists of Montenegro. --HolyRomanEmperor 13:25, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
