CTW

[edit]

Here's my review:

References needed
  • All Implementation details sections excluding the last sub-section.
  • Universal data compression procedure for binary tree sources.
  • Uses a context tree to recursively weigh coding distributions corresponding to all bounded memory tree sources in an efficient manner.
  • Provides desirable coding distributions for tree sources with unknown models or parameters.
  • The CTW-method is patented; therefore, it is more difficult to develop a compression algorithm based on the CTW-method for commercial utilization.
  • The context trees have height constraints.
Advantages of CTW & Disadvantages of CTW
  • This should be converted into prose. I suggest merging the content in a new section named Advantages and disadvantages of CTW.
External links
  • The first two bullets should be included in a new section Further reading.

I hope this helped you and good luck with your AfC. Regards, LlamaAl (talk) 19:41, 9 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I used all of your suggestions. Thanks again!

Anything you have to say about context tree weighting should be added to the context tree weighting article - obviously. You can find your edits via the history of Context Tree Weighting Method. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 16:25, 25 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
