You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for advertising or promotion. From your contributions, this seems to be your only purpose.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  MER-C 11:10, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I have been indefinitely blocked for editing for the purposes of advertising or promotion, which is not correct from my perspective. I am passionate about each of the articles that I've produced and am not trying to disrupt, damage, or create irrelevant articles for this online encyclopedia. I've specifically targeted niche subjects as I am looking to find ways to contribute to this site. All my edits are simply extensions of similar pages and other contributor edits. If it does appear that I am editing for advertising, then I will not move forward in editing in the way I have done previously and focus on making more productive contributions to articles that are already written. Thank you for your time. I look forward to understanding this further. Csdestiner09 (talk) 11:30, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

This does not appear plausible. At least some of the articles you were writing were advertised on upwork. Additionally, you uploaded commercial images and explicitly claimed to have permission from the copyright owner to do so. Given the blatant violations of WP:PROMO here, I simply don't believe your claim. I see no reason to doubt you were engaging in WP:UPE. Yamla (talk) 11:50, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

Yes. While I did attempt to upload commercial images about the subjects in question, I did not get their explicit permission as I was still learning how to use the site and assumed commercial images were public use. This has been corrected and I understood this through trial and error. I was also never paid for these services and the violations do not contribute to WP:PROMO. The articles I have written are not about a company or organization as an extension of their website or other social media marketing efforts. They are genuinely done through research of my own doing. I have recently edited and revised articles about the Jonas Brothers, Ariana Grande, and other mainstream interests - but these cases have not been mentioned oddly. I have never been in contact with any individual that I have written in a way to advertise themselves. If you look at the related articles of my contributions, they are all extensions of what has previously been written due to their association to other institutions or businesses that are already written on this website. If you could please acknowledge the parts of my previous articles that appear to be 'promotion', I can certainly amend them and I will do better as a contributor on this site. Thank you very much. Csdestiner09 (talk) 12:08, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

That you did research yourself- even if true- does not preclude the idea that you are an undisclosed paid editor, which you don't seem to deny or otherwise dispute the available evidence. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 14:49, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This account has never edited about the Jonas Brothers or about Ariana Grande. --Yamla (talk) 12:15, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps I wasn't logged in, but I have made edits to Happiness Begins Tour and Sweetener World Tour in the past week as well as several other articles. Besides this, none of my work on this website has been in violation of WP:PROMO, which is what this is mainly about. I have never received payment or written about a topic that I am intimately involved with as the previous administrator is suggesting. I would love to continue writing and contributing to this site as I love creating these articles as a personal hobby. Csdestiner09 (talk) 12:08, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Jonas Brothers has been protected since January 2, 2010, and Ariana Grande since October 11, 2014.--Bbb23 (talk) 18:08, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Csdestiner09 (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I feel my communications are not being read in an effort to create a narrative that is untrue. I have specifically said that I've edited the TOUR pages of the Jonas Brothers and Ariana Grande, not their personal biographies. These tour pages are not protected, so this was not an adequate retort to my response. Furthermore, I have said twice that I HAVE NOT received payment for my contributions to this website. I DENY THAT I HAVE RECEIVED PAYMENT AND THAT I AM AN UNDISCLOSED PAID EDITOR. I have never received payments for my contributions to this website. I am only seeking to not be blocked indefinitely on this site and continue contributing as I understand that as a new contributor, it may not be wise to create new articles and contribute more to existing ones. I feel that I have provided more than enough evidence and perspective for why I have contributed to this website with the topics and subjects that I have chosen. Thank you! Csdestiner09 (talk) 19:14, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I do not believe this for a moment. Following the contributions from other editors below, I decline to unblock. Plus, the narrative that is being created for us doesn't ring truthful. Drmies (talk) 01:05, 3 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

The narrative that is created is based on nothing but facts. I have not been untruthful once and I only want to continue contributing to building upon pages that are already written. Please note that some of the pages I have written were already discussed in other articles. It is unfair to block me solely because you feel these topics are irrelevant. The proper response would be to denote that changes need to be made and so that I can then move forward in promoting those changes. Csdestiner09 (talk) 01:18, 3 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Unblock discussion[edit]

"While I did attempt to upload commercial images about the subjects in question, I did not get their explicit permission" This doesn't match what you claimed earlier. You explicitly stated, "I have permission from the user to utilize this logo per free us". --Yamla (talk) 22:30, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This is incorrect. I have never received explicit permission as I have never been in contact with anyone that I have written about. All materials have been found on their websites, or related news articles with many images being captioned as available for public use. I have never been in contact with any topic that I have written about. I have never received payment for any article that I have written about. I have volunteered my hard work and time to find things that I thought deserved to be on the site. None of the articles I have written are out of vain, promotion, or advertisement as I am not at all connected these individuals. Please allow me to change any writing in these articles so that I can continue to contribute to this platform as I've had a great time doing so over the past couple of weeks. Thank you for your time. Csdestiner09 (talk) 02:29, 2 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
As you only need one open request, I have removed the formatting from your post. Subsequent comments should be standard, unformatted comments like this. 331dot (talk) 02:32, 2 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the information, as I am still learning. I appreciate it. Csdestiner09 (talk) 02:37, 2 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • I'd like to see more input from other admins, but am disinclined at the present moment. The rather concerning denial of having permission under fair use when the edit summary is " File:All-Ages-Of-Geek-Logo-101.jpg (I have permission from the user to utilize this logo per free us.)" needs clarification. Both cannot be truthful, and at this juncture, reestablishing trust via truthfulness is paramount. I suppose, for the sake of argument ( and please, anyone add any I've missed), a WP:Topic ban on Draft:All Ages of Geek ,Caresocius, Draft:Klime Kovaceski , Draft:William Henry Colledge, and Lalalalallaaa might be an acceptable condition for unblocking. By that, I mean acceptable to any reviewing admin-- it might not be sufficient.-- Deepfriedokra 22:30, 2 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • This user should not be unblocked. Between the slippery lies, wikilawyering, and promotional agenda, they are not an asset to the project, no matter how much they whine otherwise.--Bbb23 (talk) 00:52, 3 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Deepfriedokra: It is not whining, I am simply presenting facts. I have also not lied once. I have NEVER been in contact with any topic that I have written about. I have NEVER received payment for any article that I have written about. All images and icons were public use. The articles I have written about are also diversified and not about one topic or material, so I do not have a promotional agenda at all. I've only wanted to write about topics that I felt deserved to be on the site to build my portfolio as a contributor. Csdestiner09 (talk) 02:15, 5 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Corporate websites have images and icons that are available for public use, which is what I was referencing by saying that I had permission from the user. It was NOT a direct communication between myself and the user. This was done through a third-party sourcse i.e. their website where images are available for commercial use. Similarly, Facebook, Google, and Twitter have similar sources for media or those needing images and logos without contacting the CEO or employees of their respective companies directly. Once again, I have NEVER been in contact with any topic that I have written about. I have NEVER received payment for any article that I have written about. I've only wanted to write about topics that I felt deserved to be on the site to build my portfolio as a contributor. Thank you. Csdestiner09 (talk) 22:47, 2 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Who falls, by chance, into someone like Darko Mandić? Or a nobody like William Henry Colledge? Could you explain what "a transgenic mouse in which expression of CRE has been directed specifically to Kiss1 neurons" is? Drmies (talk) 01:03, 3 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I found Darko Mandić's work after watching his TEDTalkX on How to Fail In Your 20s two months ago. As for the professor, he was listed on a Wikipedia departmental page for the University of Cambridge. But he was one of the only professors who did not have a Wikipedia page, so I decided to write about him. Instead of blocking my page, it may have been wise for the administrator to just say that the page was not relevant rather than accusing me of receiving payment. Your attacks do not help the development of this website at all, but just writing off individuals who contribute niche topics that I feel need to be fulfilled.
