Science studies / Science, technology and society

Hallo DASonnenfeld! Thank your for the help on Science studies. I am a native German, and that happens to be remarked ;) How do you feel about a merger of Science studies with STS? I think its more or less the same name for a similar field, but would prefer to hear your opinion. I have contributed to some STS topics, starting with Reiner Grundmann and share the interest in forestry topics, compare Holznot. I currently have an ongoing RFC on the Science talk page asking to involve STS perspectives there. Cheers Serten II (talk) 15:15, 5 January 2015 (UTC)

New York City hospital question

Can you come to Talk:Ottendorfer Public Library and Stuyvesant Polyclinic Hospital. We need to answer the question of when this hospital building was no longer in use to see if the list of deaths are for this structure, or some other structure of the same name. It requires your research skills. There are so many hospitals in historic New York City and they change their names as often as they change the bedpans. --Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ) (talk) 21:39, 4 February 2015 (UTC)

Why was everything I added to the Burton Blatt Page deleted? I cited to sources that I got information from. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pross4610 (talkcontribs) 15:25, 20 March 2015 (UTC)

Hi, Pross4610, Thanks for your query. The explanation was given in the Edit summary, "Rv text copied directly from http://www.lsac.org/officialguide/2013/lsac_2823.asp and other places." Please see Wikipedia's standards for content, attribution, and use of reliable sources. I see also that there is an extensive note on your talk page. Kind regards, DA Sonnenfeld (talk) 15:35, 20 March 2015 (UTC)

Ok i do realize that I did copy that one sentence of information. But I don't understand why everything I added was deleted. That was the only thing that was copied — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pross4610 (talkcontribs) 15:42, 20 March 2015 (UTC)

Hi, Pross4610, It is likely that the editor who removed that text was unable to determine what was copied from other sources from what was written by you, using your words. My suggestions are to review the guidelines, draft new additions in your own language, including attributions to reliable sources, and post your proposed revisions either on the article talk page, or in a sandbox subpage in your userspace. Then ask for feedback, including from the editors who removed the previous material. Hope this is helpful. DA Sonnenfeld (talk) 18:11, 20 March 2015 (UTC)
