Note: Hi Dannomyte. Although I recommended deletion in the discussion on whether Shooting Star Theatrics should be included in Wikipedia, I (and most other editors) can always be persuaded by presenation of reliable sources. As I mentioned in the discussion, I was only able to find coverage in the local community papers. If there is more significant and major coverage, that would help the case for keeping the article. For example, are you aware of any coverage by the Hamilton Spectator, or perhaps the Toronto Star? Especially in the case of something like the Star, coverage would then be show to go outside of the Hamilton area. I hope having your first article nominated for deletion does not discourage you from continuing to contribute to Wikipedia. Regards. -- Whpq (talk) 14:58, 28 January 2013 (UTC)
There is Hamilton Spectator Coverage. There coverage predates their online archives. I will be able to find it, but it will be after the page is deleted. Can I repost the page? --Dannomyte (talk) 18:31, 29 January 2013 (UTC)
- I would recommend that you post a note on the article for discussion page indicating that you are researching offline sourcing. There has not been much particpation in the dicussion so it might get relisted, and a note that you are working on sources may sway an administrator to extend the period for discussion. Offline sources are okay, but you will need to be sure to include the article name (headline), date, and page numbers from the Spectator. Regards. -- Whpq (talk) 20:27, 29 January 2013 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (File:Shooting Star Theatrics.JPG)
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Shooting Star Theatrics.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:18, 13 February 2013 (UTC)
