Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Laura Steel has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. I removed the following link(s): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wrDaQKTFAg8. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 00:16, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Laura Steel has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. I have nominated Laura Steel, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Laura Steel. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Burpelson AFB (talk) 23:26, 11 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. Syrthiss (talk) 11:53, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages. Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. Thank you. Syrthiss (talk) 14:49, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please continue to improve the article but do not remove the afd notice.

Please stop. If you continue removing Articles for deletion notices or comments from articles and Articles for deletion pages, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Syrthiss (talk) 15:44, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't remove AfD tags

[edit]

While it is good that you are adding references to the article, that doesn't "stop" the AfD process. Of course, if the article is well-referenced and otherwise meets guidelines, it should be kept. You're welcome to post on the AfD page explaining your addition, as this may cause people to re-evaluate the page. But this tag has to stay there until an administrator closes the AfD discusson and determines whether or not to delete the article. Please feel free to ask here, at the article talk page, or on my talk page if you have any questions.Qwyrxian (talk) 15:44, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I got your note on my talk page, but you're not understanding the process. There are 3 different deletion processes on Wikipedia. The first is a speedy deletion, which applies only in egregious cases and is not relevant here. The second is a called a "PROD," which was previously on the article. PRODs can be removed if an editor believes the problem has been corrected. The third is called an Articles for Deletion discussion, or AfD for short. Once an AfD has started, that discussion will continue until a administrator determines whether or not consensus has been reached (to keep or delete). During that time, you can and should continue to try to improve the article to help address the concerns in the discussion. But you can't remove the tag. Even if you somehow could, the deletion discussion would continue, and the article can still be deleted. At this point, please look at the deletion discussion (you can find it here). As you can see, people, including myself, do not believe that Steel meets the general notability guidelines--that is, she has not yet established herself enough to have a page on Wikipedia. Perhaps in the future, after she receives more press and more notability, she may have a page. So if you know of more sources to demonstrate that she is notable, go ahead and continue adding them. If there are no more, though, she will probably not meet notability requirements and thus the article will be deleted. Qwyrxian (talk) 15:55, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
