Minneapolis

Hello. Does Minneapolis, Minnesota look all right to you? Please pardon this form letter that is going to about a dozen people whose user name I recognize from some Wikipedia edit (could have been recent or in the past year). I expect to close peer review by nominating Minneapolis to featured article candidate in a day or two unless other editors have more work they'd like to do. In case the links help, places to make a difference are to edit in place, comment in the peer review, comment on the talk page, support or oppose when and if it gets to featured article candidate, or work on a child article linked from the following template. -Susanlesch 23:55, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Your new articles

Can you clarify if you are creating the new articles for China, the People's Republic of China or Mainland China? Michael G. Davis 23:27, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

Thanks

I was watching Tucker today and I was wondering what a barrel shroud was. Thanks for making the page!

Sartell Middle School does sound like a real place, and I believe you that it is, but what notability does it have, that warrants it to be in an online encyclopedia. Here at Wikipedia we try to make sure that everything is notable enough to be put up. I just don't see how it quite measures up to some of our other articles. Thank you though. Dreamy 01:51, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

And why is there an article on Sartell High School and Sartell Middle School? Dreamy 02:01, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
And I agree with that, but couldn't you just merge the two pages? Dreamy 02:15, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
Well you could put something like both principles in the infobox and mention that they are two seperate schools. Dreamy 02:21, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
Okay! Cheers mate! Oh and I added the merge tags! Dreamy 02:26, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

Unspecified source for Image:Versosartellmill.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Versosartellmill.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 23:01, 27 April 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Iamunknown 23:01, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

Better source request for Image:Versosartellmill.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Versosartellmill.jpg. You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talkpage. Thank you. Iamunknown 00:28, 30 April 2007 (UTC)

Ah, sorry for double posting to your talk page. I'm just getting used to a new JavaScript tool. Could you add a more detailed URL? --Iamunknown 00:29, 30 April 2007 (UTC)

Roy Pearson simplification

Hi,

I'm just curious why you removed some of the entries in the citation templates for some of the Roy Pearson references. I can't think of a reason for it, and undid it, but I thought it'd be a good idea to check in case there's a policy I don't know about. From what I understand, a complete template seems more useful than a less complete one. I humbly request satisfaction of my curiousity :)

WLU 11:40, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

I suppose I could concede the language, though a recently AfD I saw indicated that non-English sources are valid and worth including, but I would be most pleased if the 'date accessed' were left in. I agree with and endorse your kind offer on my talk page.

WLU 18:35, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

Sorry, the error was mine, I did not mean to convey that you did not think English sources were not valid; my apologies for the misunderstanding. All I meant to say is that I would prefer the acces date be left in the citation templates, which you have already stated you would leave in. I shall be more careful with my italics in the future; to clarify, I was going for humourously ironic rather than crabbily condescending. Again, apologies if I offended, it was not my intent. Further note, I removed the language function from the citation templates as we discussed. WLU 20:12, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

This user vandalized the article on Subtropical Storm Andrea (2007) and keeps blanking his page to erase the warnings and I see you have once again reverted my reversion to his blankings. --Ozgod 04:16, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

Responding to your editing on anti-Japanese

To prove the fact that the Japanese started the comfort woman row with outside provocation, one needs to show the provocation. If no one can provide the instance of outside provocation, then it is correct to say it was Japan who started the comfort woman row themselves. In conclusion, whether it is correct to say "Japan started comfort woman row without provocation"; the test is whether anyone can provide such outside provocation. I can't, can you? 68.58.22.93 19:32, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

I added the citation request for the "As usually the case" part of the statement.--Daveswagon 19:45, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

Ron Paul America: Freedom to Fascism

Hello Daveswagon,

I personally feel that the "America: Freedom to Fascism" link is an important one. Could you please put it back in the list in whatever order/grouping is appropriate?

Anappealtoheaven 03:11, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

Ron Paul was the ONLY elected official willing to be interviewed in the making of the film. This video alone has had so much to do with bringing Ron Paul loyal supporters that I can't imagine it not being on the Ron Paul main page. I would STRONGLY ask that you add it back to the main page as it completely embodies everything that Paul stands for; that is why PAUL is in it.

Hi. I added a few topic for discussion at Talk:Minnesota#Recent_changes_to_article. Can you weigh in with your thoughts? Thanks. Kablammo 18:16, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

Hello. I noticed your recent addition to the article for Baylor School. Please visit the article talk page to discuss the relevance. Thanks! Malson 02:37, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Stcloudhospitalaerial.png, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Stcloudhospitalaerial.png is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only" or "used with permission for use on Wikipedia only" which was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19 or is not used in any articles (CSD I3).

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Image:Stcloudhospitalaerial.png itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. If you have any questions about what to do next or why your image was nominated for speedy deletion please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thanks. --Android Mouse Bot 2 15:51, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Stcloudhospitalaerial.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Stcloudhospitalaerial.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 05:57, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

Ron Paul

Do you think it would be a good idea to get a Good Article peer review? I know the article will most likely fail, but I would like specific suggestions for how to improve the lead, what to do about the newsletter section, and all the other controversies that seem to be coming up lately. Is this a good idea?--Gloriamarie 22:49, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

I'd personally like to wait a bit longer. There are a few edit conflicts still simmering, and I think there is some cleanup work that has yet to be done, like organizing content into more logical paragraphs and trimming the longer sections. Still, you can go ahead with it if you want. Some GA input could put some of those rogue editors in their place.--Daveswagon 23:31, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

why did you remove my addition to the 'political positions'?:
<<Paul's one clear break with Libetarian principles is on the topic of abortion. Per lp.org: "Essentially, the party is officially pro-choice, with the caveat that government funds not be used to perform abortions.">>
this is a factual statement that takes 2 mins to verify. go to lp.org and search on 'abortion'. this is a critical issue to many people; why would you want to obscure it? --Atomicpuffball 19:02, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

Unspecified source for Image:Mclaughlin_large.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Mclaughlin_large.jpg.

If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL.

Fair use rationale for Image:Mclaughlin_large.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Mclaughlin_large.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 12:31, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
