Vandal reports
I have just added to your vandal report with yet another putative sock. Apologies for riding tandem on this one, it just seemed to simplify the message. Regards. Velella Velella Talk 15:27, 10 January 2011 (UTC)

Notable Wadham Rowers
Hi David, it appears there has been a mix up with notable wadham rowers and Mr C.A Jebb. He was not in the blue boat in 2007 but I can assure you he was certaintly notable! Maybe a new section is in order? What do you think?

Pesky IP at it again but not for long
Hello David. On Type 45 destroyer, you'd noticed that it's been salted for 72 hours per my request on RFPP, let's hope the pesky IP don't return to the same rogue routine again after that. Best. --Dave ♠♣♥♦™№1185©♪♫® 14:49, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
- The latest incarnation of the IP has been blocked for using multiple IPs. It could also have been for vandalism or for WP:3RR. We'll keep an eye open after the 3 days expire. - David Biddulph (talk) 14:53, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
- Well, its really bleedingly clear for us to see and piece things together to assumed that it was the work of the same anon editor since UK IP addresses were used throughout the persistent blanking spree on the article page of Type 45 destroyer within the last 48 hours. As per previous spree, I just reported it to AIV for follow up actions by them SysOps. Anyway, he's just helping us add to our contribution count, we should be thankful for his business, eh? --Dave ♠♣♥♦™№1185©♪♫® 15:22, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
Valery Nikolayevsky
Why here, and why created again?

The article of a famous Russian writer and dissident has been deleted (for having no “notability”) after the proposal of the Russian admin “Andrei Romanenko”.
The creative intelligentsia is observing this process. We need your help for the recreation of the article, which without a doubt is “notable”. The German and French “Wikipedia” refused to participate in the deletion of their respective articles on the writer/dissident. We attach a copy of the entire deleted article. With everlasting respect to you, Son of the writer, Dan Nikolaevskij PS: My father is 72 years old. He has a bad sight and doesn’t use the computer.

A "Sharch" to Valery Nikolayevsky from Valery Kolesovo Quote: “Exposing and attacking the writer V. Nikolayevsky 29, July 1990 on the Komsomolskaya street in the city Tolyatti, threat and destroying of historical and literature center “House of Repin”, developed by Nikolayevsky.” From collective letter (14 signatures) in the journal “Glasnost” in the name of publisher Gregoryenko S.I. from 27.07.90 Moscow Quote: From Newspaper “For Communism”, Tolyatti: “Do you have the opportunity to speak an answering word in the newspapers as a delegation candidate of Oblast council?” – “No.” After a period of time Nikolayevsky was informed: "You were in the list of the State Committee of the State of Emergency of people liquidation in the city Tolyatti". In the year 1991, Nikolayevsky immigrated to Israel with his wife and his three months old son Dan. His bibliofilm-novel “Dangerous Patrician” (pub. Lexicon, 1991) was published in Jerusalem. 37 literary works by Nikolayevsky – novel chapters, essays, poetry, children’s poetry, humoristic poetry – were published in Israel: “Haoketz”, no. 6, 10/1993, no. 14 12/1993; “Windows”, 25/09/1992, 23/10/1992…; “Echo” no. 248, 05/01/1994; “Secret” no. 10, 16/09/1994… (Tel Aviv). From russian journal about science, education and culture "Alma Mater", nr. 3 (20), 2000: Quote (Topic "The sectrets of Kremlin"): “That is the name of the book published in Austria in the German language. The author of which is the famous Russian writer Valery Mihailovich Nikolayevsky. The history of the book’s publishment is full of drama. It is based on documents that were collected for over 30 years and were given to Nikolayevsky by writer and laureate of the Stalin Price, Orest Maltsev. All those most worthy documents, V. M. Nikolayevsky couldn’t keep with him for a long period of time, since being under permanent observation by the KGB. Nikolayevsky was forbidden to leave the country. The materials were carried out to England, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, et al. by his true friends. And when being able to go to Europe himself he started to collect those rare documents… The years of strenuous work have not disappeared. The documentarily journalistical novel ‘The Secrets of the Kremlin’ very quickly was sold out in various European countries and received high critical acclaim.”

World Cup Table
The convention in the World Cup table is to paint the qualified teams in green. And NOT to highlight the non-qualified team (Check the previous World Cup articles). If you want to propose a change please discuss it first in compliance with WP:BRD. Thanks. ashwinikalantri talk 05:42, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
- It had been discussed at Talk:2011 Cricket World Cup, and looking back at 2007 I coould see that during the group stage the teams no longer capable of qualifing were indeed highlighted in pink. - David Biddulph (talk) 09:02, 15 March 2011 (UTC)

Re:2012 Summer Olympics
All the countries have qualified one athlete, and a confirmed by the governing body (check the relative sports for the qualification summaries). If that does not qualify as a reliable source then I do not know what will. Intoronto1125 (talk) 13:57, 19 March 2011 (UTC)
Your contributed article, WC 2011
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, WC 2011. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - 2011 Cricket World Cup. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will to continue helping improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at 2011 Cricket World Cup - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.
If you think that the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. ashwinikalantri talk 18:38, 20 March 2011 (UTC)
- AshwiniKalantri was confused when he said that I created WC 2011. Someone else moved 2011 Cricket World Cup to WC 2011, and I moved it back again and told the user that his fistful of moves were in error and that he should move them back again. - David Biddulph (talk) 19:34, 20 March 2011 (UTC)

about this
Hi, David. The subject of the article had told me he added it himself, so I had assumed the date was unsourced and OR. It was neither, and that was my mistake not looking closely enough. Cheers. -- Rrburke (talk) 20:12, 25 March 2011 (UTC)

As a matter of interest, re Louis Landon, is copyright violation no longer a criterion for speedy deletion? Isn't this reasonably convincing? - David Biddulph (talk) 19:47, 31 March 2011 (UTC)
- You are absolutely right. I was looking at the previous version that was flagged for A7. I'm not sure why I didn't get an edit conflict warning. Oh well, it's gone now. --Selket Talk 00:14, 3 April 2011 (UTC)

Want rollback?
Hi David, I noticed you don't have the rollback feature when you were reverting over at Falklands War. Do you want it? I would be happy to give it to you, you are certainly a trusted user who could make use of it. Let me know if so, regards Woody (talk) 21:08, 26 April 2011 (UTC)
- It could be useful, so yes please. Thanks for the thought. - David Biddulph (talk) 21:13, 26 April 2011 (UTC)
- Granted now. Take a look at Wikipedia:ROLLBACK#When to use rollback which basically states only use it for blatant vandalism. If in doubt, use undo and write in an edit summary. I hope it is of some help. If you have any questions please leave them at my talk page. Regards, Woody (talk) 21:36, 26 April 2011 (UTC)
