Speedy deletion nomination of General Hmood Dawi Al-Qthami
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on General Hmood Dawi Al-Qthami requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Cabayi (talk) 14:00, 25 November 2017 (UTC)
- The article has a number of problems: it makes no credible claim of notability for him; Wikipedia's [[:mos:|style]] does not include military or honorific titles in the name of the article; and biographies of living people require that at least one independent verifiable reliable source is cited. [edit]Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with General Hmood Dawi Al-Qthami. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. Cabayi (talk) 10:42, 26 November 2017 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to introduce inappropriate pages to Wikipedia, as you did at General Hmood Dawi Al-Qthami, you may be blocked from editing. If you need guidance on how to create appropriate pages, try using the Article Wizard. Cabayi (talk) 10:43, 26 November 2017 (UTC)
- Recreating the article so soon after it was previously deleted, with none of the problems addressed, is just a waste of everybody's time. Cabayi (talk) 10:44, 26 November 2017 (UTC)
Dawihq I'm so sorry, I didn't know what I was doing. Please don't block me, as I spend a lot of time researching and uploading information on this site. Also, I left a message for you on your page about my article Wikipedia. Please help me do the right steps to include the information I added to the article. Dawihq (talk) 15:00, 26 November 2017 (AST)
DawihqI noticed that you have reverted the page back to before I started working on it. Now I've done a lot of research on the topic, and I need to add this information for prosperity, as the books I'm reading, then translating into Arabia, then writing in English from, will never see the light of day in the states. Therefore, please, I have worked hard on this, how do I restore my contributions without being blocked? Do I remove all the blog refrences, because I will do that easily. Please, please, please. Help. Respond to me. Dawihq (talk) 15:00, 26 November 2017 (AST)
- Please don't conduct the same discussion on multiple pages, it gets confusing.
- The reference you've added to the General's article is by him. It needs references about him.
- Read the links I've already provided about sources - WP:RS, WP:IS, WP:V. Cabayi (talk) 12:30, 26 November 2017 (UTC)
Cabayi For now, I don't want to create a page for General Hmood anymore. For the time being, I need to focus on finding the best references I have for another article that was unfortunately deleted by you. Also, I'm not an expert with this chat format. Please be patient and understanding with a newcomer. Dawihq (talk) 15:39, 26 November 2017 (AST
Disambiguation link notification for December 7
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Otaibah, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ishmaelite (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 20:11, 7 December 2017 (UTC)
Sources
[edit]Hello, can you please add your sources to The Battles of Otaibah? All articles need sources from the start. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 21:14, 18 December 2017 (UTC)
The article The Battles of Otaibah has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Unreferenced information which can (if sourced) be merged into the main article on the tribe. Without references, this is of questionable value at best
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. BigHaz - Schreit mich an 06:27, 31 December 2017 (UTC)
