Welcome[edit]

Hello, Denarius Solidus, and Welcome to Wikipedia!

Thank you for your contributions to this free encyclopedia. If you decide that you need help, check out Getting Help below, ask at the help desk, or place {{Help me}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Please remember to sign your name on talk pages by clicking or by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your username and the date. Also, please do your best to always fill in the edit summary field. Below are some useful links to help you get started. Happy editing! CommanderWaterford (talk) 07:04, 28 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring warning[edit]

Stop icon

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Are you sure you know much about Turkey? I don't think so. Denarius Solidus (talk) 20:01, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I know what a hagiography is. El_C 20:05, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing certain areas of the encyclopedia for a period of one week for disruptive editing. Please communicate better. You are being reckless. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

English, please[edit]

Information icon I noticed that you have posted comments in a language other than English. At the English-language Wikipedia, we try to use English for all comments. Posting all comments in English makes it easier for other editors to join the conversation and help you. If you cannot avoid using another language, then please provide a translation into English, if you can. If you cannot provide a translation, please go to the list of Wikipedias, look in the list for a Wikipedia that is in your language, and edit there instead of here. For more details, see Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines. Thank you. El_C 20:12, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Moving forward[edit]

You are free to try to gather the consensus for your changes on the article talk page. But forcing them in like that is too disruptive. Again, in English, please. El_C 20:22, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 2 weeks for contravening Wikipedia's harassment policy, as you did at User talk:El C. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Bishonen | tålk 20:36, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I guess you can read it, Bish. Must not have been good... El_C 20:39, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Oh yes, I can read everything. I considered an indefinite block, actually. Bishonen | tålk 20:42, 3 July 2020 (UTC).[reply]
You are multi-talented and skilled, as ever! I still don't really know what was said in order to comment about an indef. I take it it was egregious, though. El_C 20:46, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Very egregious! Google Translate is a wonderful tool. Unfortunately in this case! - BilCat (talk) 20:48, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe better I don't know...? El_C 20:49, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
It's not worth your interest, really. Bishonen | tålk 20:56, 3 July 2020 (UTC).[reply]
Nope, but I think it's worth an indef until a genuine apology is forthcoming. (Non-admin opinion.) - BilCat (talk) 20:58, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Not that. I'm against asking for or requiring apologies. And how could it be genuine if it was required? (Rhetorical question, no reply needed — I think we've chatted enough on this user's page, at least I have.) Bishonen | tålk 21:04, 3 July 2020 (UTC).[reply]
Either this user evading or an LTA has reverted back the offending text to my talk page again, so I had to sprotect. El_C 21:08, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@El C:, it was the latter.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 21:12, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Copy that, Ponyo. El_C 21:14, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
