ArbCom 2017 election voter message

Hello, Dfalcon15. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

GoT Cast list

So, did you notice that there was a link to List of Game of Thrones cast originally in each article's infobox, instead of a long list of names? This is much cleaner and should be restored. That link was there long before you came by and reordered the list. I don't understand why you've gone back in and reapplied that edit. I disagree. The actors should be displayed in the front like any other show on Wikipedia. There’s no point in putting a link where people have to go to another page and search for actors when it was conviently there. You could have a point that the list should be expanded at each article, but it is clear that other editors have reverted you as well for making this change. Until a consensus can be formed to make the change, the status quo should remain. I recommend starting a new discussion at Talk:Game of Thrones (season 1) to see what kind of participation we get. --GoneIn60 (talk) 07:32, 28 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Another point I thought of is that because this TV series has a very lengthy cast list (unlike most TV series), some editors may feel that having a very long list in the infobox of each article adds unnecessary clutter and violates the recommendation mentioned at WP:INFOBOXPURPOSE: "The less information it contains, the more effectively it serves that purpose". Just thought I'd mention that to help you form a solid proposal at the talk page, should you decide to move forward with a discussion. --GoneIn60 (talk) 07:48, 28 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
