Rakesh Jhaveri
[edit]First, thank you for constructive edits on Rakesh Jhaveri articles. The issue is, at wikipedia, we do not use honorific tags to person name as a policy such as WP:NCIN even though they are refereed widely by that name. Even Lord, Goddesh. Mataji, Pujya words are not allowed in names of religious figures or gods such as Lord Mahavir is simply refereed as Mahavir or Goddess Durga as Durga only. "Pujya Gurudevshri Rakeshbhai" add nothing useful information to encyclopedia. The words are just written to honour that person or in respect. We also have policy of neutrality (WP:Neutrality) which also propagate the same idea. So the honorifics are removed. Hope that clarifies your query. If you want to ask anything, please message on my talk page. Regards, --Nizil (talk) 05:53, 2 August 2016 (UTC)
- I do understand your concerns. But Pujya Gurudev is not his name but honours received for respect. Still, if you wanted people searching "Pujya Gurudevshri" to land here, you may create a Redirect page which bring them here. So there will be no Issue of people not finding him. -Nizil (talk) 09:03, 2 August 2016 (UTC) Thank you so much!
- First, the Citation Needed is not bad thing. It is meant to attract and notify others to add more helpful references. I issue with references is that Wikipedia values quality of sources rather than number of them. See WP:IRS for better understanding of sources. Here article contains news references and some websites. The news articles are helpful but not as much as scholar articles or books. News may have biased or leaning opinions. Age of sources are also important. Self published sources like his website is not considered reliable as they are biased towards the publisher himself. Websites may/may not be critically reviewed by editors so they are not considered reliable enough. Academic sources are best suited. So even if there are many refs, it still needs better sources. and so the tag. Regards,--Nizil (talk) 11:30, 2 August 2016 (UTC)
- Ravi Shankar (spiritual leader) has such clear thing along with ref of Yoga Journal (ref No.6) which may be considered somewhat reliable.
The often referenced book Gautier, Francois. The Guru of Joy. New York: Hay House, a book is critical evaluation of him and can be considered as scholarly studies of him. They are just few examples. Regards and Happy Editing.--Nizil (talk) 12:36, 2 August 2016 (UTC)
- BTW, you should edit more articles and you will find that Wikipedia editing is very educative and lovely process. I may help you whenever you need. :)--Nizil (talk) 12:36, 2 August 2016 (UTC)
- I had checked. Apart from his website, not all sources refer him by that name. It is not common name in all sources. So I think redirect is enough. Regards,--Nizil (talk) 07:05, 4 August 2016 (UTC)

Hey Nizil, another point just noticed was that on all books that are written by him the name appears as Pujya Gurudevshri Rakeshbhai. He also just received a U.S. Congressional certificate of recognition with the name Pujya Gurudevshri Rakeshbhai. So even from a search perspective it would make sense to include it within that article. If you see author pages or rapper pages, you will see this trend. You can phrase it on the page yourself so we can be in the clear in that sense. Please let me know. Thanks once again!!Dmehta81 (talk) 15:31, 15 August 2016 (UTC)
- I have added that name to article due to your convincing reference. As he is credited by that name in his books, I have added note regarding it also. Some small edits in infobox also. Regards--Nizil (talk) 04:49, 17 August 2016 (UTC)
- Image
- Do you have any image of Rakesh Jhaveri giving lectures? If you fully own its copyright (say you clicked that image), you can upload it to Wikimedia commons so it can be used on this article.--Nizil (talk) 04:49, 17 August 2016 (UTC)
- The images on Mission is copyrighted so you can not use them to upload as you do not hold their copyright. The images uploaded on Wikipedia are mostly public domain images or image released under free licenses such as CC_BY_SA. These images are royalty free to use, reuse, modify, download etc. So if you have clicked an image, you own its copyright and you can release it under free license. Just go to Wikimedia Commons and find upload on left side penal/Go step by step. If the Mission want to release their own images than they have to go under some legal procedure letter and email exchanges. (For example, current Profile Pic of Rakesh Jhaveri was sent by Mission) Feel free to ask anything. Regards,--Nizil (talk) 14:00, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
- Image caption
First, we do not consider other articles as guideline for particular issue so what is written on Ravi Shankar (spiritual leader) should not be considered as a rule/guidelines. We do not prefer honorifics in article and image captions too according to guidelines. But I am open to change it to Rakeshbhai delivering discourse in Dharampur which is correct and also middle path between two; Jhaveri and PGR. :) So what do you think? I am not OK with Pujya Gurudevshri because these are clearly honorifics and will push for change at other places too. I have no problem with Discourse in Dharampur too.--Nizil (talk) 04:23, 9 May 2017 (UTC)
Hello Dmehta81, please do not change links and names to include honorific titles. In rare cases where such titles are commonly used (as apparently discussed in the thread above), you should ask for a rename by moving the main article first. Please note that such a request should be based on an analysis of common usages in reliable published English-language sources. You'll find additional related information about this at Wikipedia:Requested moves (and at WP:COMMONNAME with more general advice). Best regards. GermanJoe (talk) 11:31, 27 September 2018 (UTC) Point. It’s.
