Information icon Hello, I'm Apaugasma. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Sultanate of the Geledi, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please add appropriate sources to File:Flag Of The Geledi Sultanate.png ☿ Apaugasma (talk ) 20:02, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Gobroon dynasty. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. signed, Rosguill talk 00:43, 2 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Battle of Dul Madoba, to Wikipedia, as doing so is not in accordance with our policies. For more information about creating articles, you may want to read Wikipedia:Your first article; you might also consider using the Article Wizard. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Thank you. ☿ Apaugasma (talk ) 17:58, 22 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

What was so called inappropriate?, This is historical battle that hasn’t been created? Doggoohcool (talk) 19:17, 2 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
There are many things that are inappropriate here:
  1. All content on Wikipedia needs to be verifiable (please read Wikipedia:Verifiability), which is done by citing reliable sources, but this article lacks any citations.
  2. You copy-pasted the article content from Dul Madoba#Battle, but you did not provide any attribution, which is required for Wikipedia to stay in line with copyright regulations (please read Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia).
  3. Because you merely copied the content without adding anything to it, the article is a redundant content fork (please read Wikipedia:Content forking).
  4. I already mentioned the last two issues here when I reverted your first attempt (see here) and another user reverted your second attempt (here), yet you reinstated the copy-pasted article a third time (see here) without getting consensus (please read Wikipedia:Consensus) to do so on the article talk page. Reinstating edits without discussion is called edit warring, which is prohibited (please read Wikipedia:Edit warring).
There are also other concerns, such as whether the battle is notable (please read Wikipedia:Notability) enough for a stand-alone article. In any case, the content should be reworked to comply with the basic exigencies of Wikipedia:Manual of Style such as having a proper lead section.
In other words, there is much to do here before the article is ready for mainspace, so I suggest you create Draft:Battle of Dul Madoba (don't forget to mention in your edit summary that you copied the content from Dul Madoba) and work on the content there. When it's ready, you can submit it through Wikipedia:Articles for creation.
Do not directly re-create the article in mainspace, consider this your last warning with regard to that. If you have any questions about the draft or how to write an article, Wikipedia:Teahouse is a place where you will find friendly editors who are willing to help you and to answer any questions you may have.
Kind regards, ☿ Apaugasma (talk ) 01:33, 3 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Someone hasn’t created this page, can you do it? Doggoohcool (talk) 18:33, 22 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Battle of Dul Madoba, you may be blocked from editing. How to create an article

[edit]

Hello Doggoohcool, here is some information about how to create an article on Wikipedia.

First, please note that the topic of an article must be notable and have already been the subject of publication by reliable and independent sources.

Second, when copying content from another article, this should be duly noted in the edit summary (on how to do that, please read Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia).

Third, see Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see Requested articles. If you are stuck, come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can help you through the processes.

New to Wikipedia? Please consider taking a look at our introductory tutorial or reviewing the contributing to Wikipedia page to learn the basics about editing. Below are a few other good pages about article creation.

Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, type {{help me}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

Happy editing! ☿ Apaugasma (talk ) 21:43, 22 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Battle of Barawa (1589)

[edit]

Hello, Doggoohcool. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Battle of Barawa".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. When you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Liz Read! Talk! 17:31, 15 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
