Welcome!

Hello, Donjuanez, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for helping us build a great free encyclopedia. We have five basic principles, but other than that, we advise that you be bold and edit. If you ever have any questions or need help, feel free to leave a message at the help desk, and other Wikipedia editors will be happy to assist you.

Thanks again and congratulations on becoming a Wikipedian!

P.S. New discussion threads for you will appear at the bottom of this page.

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Joost van der Vleuten, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://joostvandervleuten.com/.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Speedy deletion nomination of Joost van der Vleuten

[edit]

Hello Donjuanez,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Joost van der Vleuten for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, gwickwire | Leave a message 04:19, 20 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Joost van der Vleuten deletion

[edit]

Hi, the article was a copyright violation. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. The copied site is clearly marked as copyright text, and although you quote a ticket number, there was no OTRS ticket on the article talk page. Even with an OTRS ticket, I would still delete the page because the copyrighted text is far too promotional to be useful for Wikipedia. It was written in a promotional and unencyclopaedic tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Examples of unsourced claims presented as fact include: developed a passion for music at a very young age... nurtured a dream... Initially inspired... first success... went from strength to strength... the mighty... and much, much more in the same spammy vein.

You also did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that he meets the notability guidelines. It is now wikipedia policy that biographical articles about living people must have independent verifiable references. As a matter of policy, all biographies of living people will be deleted if they do not have references. Your "References" were spamlinks to sales sites, and the "External links" were to self-editable sites, not independent reliable sources. This is an encyclopaedia, not a free advertising platform Jimfbleak - talk to me? 13:47, 21 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
