December 2021[edit]

Information icon Before adding a category to an article, as you did to Robert Shelton (Ku Klux Klan), please make sure that the subject of the article really belongs in the category that you specified according to Wikipedia's categorization guidelines. The category being added must already exist, and must be supported by the article's verifiable content. Categories may be removed if they are deemed incorrect for the subject matter. Categories must be supported by info in the article. Toddst1 (talk) 17:13, 7 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please pay attention to sources[edit]

You may have noticed that most of your edits are being reverted by me and several other folks. You need to start providing reliable sources and citations for your additions to articles. Your current pattern of editing is not helpful and may lead to you being blocked from editing Wikipedia. Toddst1 (talk) 17:17, 7 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Matthew Rhys, you may be blocked from editing. Toddst1 (talk) 21:31, 8 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Leigh-Allyn Baker. Before adding a category to an article, as you did to Leigh-Allyn Baker, please make sure that the subject of the article really belongs in the category that you specified according to Wikipedia's categorization guidelines. September 2022[edit]

Hello, I'm JalenFolf. I noticed that you made an edit to a biography of a living person, Abby Trott, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Jalen Folf (talk) 17:46, 6 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

October 2022[edit]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Nathan Larson (politician), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Aoidh (talk) 01:21, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

February 2023[edit]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Mae Whitman, you may be blocked from editing. You've not only been talked to before about adding unsourced content, but blocked for repeated failures to do so. Additionally, it's unclear to me how the information you added is relevant, versus being coincidental. DonIago (talk) 13:58, 1 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by inserting unpublished information or your personal analysis into an article, as you did at Ronald Sandlin. CT55555(talk) 04:26, 11 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced content[edit]

With this edit at A.C. Moore, you added that all stores had been closed "primarily due to the COVID-19 pandemic". Perhaps I missed it, but I was unable to find any mention of the COVID-19 pandemic in the source cited. A short response would be appreciated. Thank you. You've been warned repeatedly about failure to cite reliable sources, specifically related to BLPs and American politics. This edit led to your previous block. Most recently you've made these similarly inappropriate edits to BLPs and political articles: [1], [2], [3], [4]. EvergreenFir (talk) 04:59, 31 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics - Biographies of Living People[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles, a topic designated as contentious. This standard message is designed as an introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially-designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
