Orphaned non-free image File:Mythbusters title screen.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Mythbusters title screen.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 15:55, 4 April 2013 (UTC)
- I had no clue why I was getting this warning... I don't even appear in the "File history" section, despite (apparently) being the original uploader. Strange. EVula // talk // ☯ // 16:02, 4 April 2013 (UTC)

Resized_file_backlog
[edit]I'm trying to work on Wikipedia:An#Resized_file_backlog a bit. I have the script installed, which helps with the deletion, but it isn't removing the tag for me. Are you removing the tags manually, or is it working for you? I see the creator hasn't edited since December, so I doubt that asking the creator will help.--SPhilbrick(Talk) 20:58, 16 April 2013 (UTC)
- I tried the script, but promptly removed it, since it didn't seem to be doing anything. I've just been deleting images and removing the tags manually. EVula // talk // ☯ // 21:30, 16 April 2013 (UTC)
- OK thanks, FWIW, it does remove the old images. It doesn't look like it does, I click shift alt 2 and nothing seems to happen, but when I refresh the old one was gone. Oh, and shift alt 2 using the 2 on the numeric pad did not work, it had to be the one above the letters.--SPhilbrick(Talk) 21:44, 16 April 2013 (UTC)
- I couldn't tell that anything had happened; it mentioned a new tab showing up, but I didn't see anything new. *shrug* EVula // talk // ☯ // 22:17, 16 April 2013 (UTC)
- I agree that was misleading. There's a tab that had Delete, Move, Protect and Purge. For me, it was between the Watchlist Star and the Twinkle tab. The list had a new entry, "Rescaled" at the bottom. I don't use it, because it told me the keyboard alternative was alt-shift-2, which worked for me. It doesn't save much, but it would be worth it if it removed the template as well. Oh well.--SPhilbrick(Talk) 01:27, 17 April 2013 (UTC)

- Got me. I was so far behind the curve on that one that I may never catch up on what happened. Hey, as long as I'm here anyway - I remember seeing a really cool blade you had. You still have that? I used to have a decent knife collection when I was younger, bunch of butterfly knives and such. Just wondered. Cheers. — Ched : ? 00:28, 24 April 2013 (UTC)
- Vera! Yup, I still have her, though she's been retired; the belt clip got snagged on a set piece and broke, and the company that made it has since discontinued the model. I now use a Kershaw Volt as my go-to pocket knife; it's a lot sharper, but not as scary looking (and not as intimidating when I spin it on my palm, though it still freaks people out). Renaming information request
[edit]You have been identified as someone who does a large number of renames. If you could visit meta:Rename practices and explain your renaming practices and policy, we would appreciate the effort. Hi, sorry for writing in English. I'm writing to ask you, as a bureaucrat of this wiki, to translate and review the notification that will be sent to all users, also on this wiki, who will be forced to change their user name on May 27 and will probably need your help with renames. A goldfish's memory for names?
[edit]Do you remember me?
I formerly edited under the monicker "Master&Expert". We've interacted a few times back in 2009. Kurtis (talk) 20:42, 16 May 2013 (UTC)
- The name sounds vaguely familiar, but I honestly couldn't tell you what we would have talked about. If you hadn't brought it to my attention, I'm certain I would have considered you a total stranger...
Seriously, I don't think anyone knows how bad I am with names. It really sucks when I do Shakespeare in the Park, and volunteers come up and say "Hi Eric!" It's cheating, dammit; I have a name tag, of course they know my name. Grumble grumble... #firstworldproblems EVula // talk // ☯ // 20:54, 16 May 2013 (UTC)- Oh, for sure. You weren't really all that active when I changed my username, so I doubt you'd be familiar with the editor named "Kurtis". For your reference, here are some prior interactions from a few years back. - Thank the heavens! He remembers! Wait, you do Shakespeare? I thought you were more the type to do broadway shows. =/ Kurtis (talk) 20:40, 17 May 2013 (UTC)
- I house manage for Shakespeare in the Park. Not much for Broadway shows; I'm not a big fan of musicals. EVula // talk // ☯ // 20:56, 17 May 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, this is to let you know that I've reported User:DrEdna at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring, since I mentioned you in the report. -- Yzx (talk) 03:23, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
- Awesome, thanks. I'll keep an eye on it, though I don't feel like I need to chime in just yet; you did a good job of summing up the [rather stupid] edit war. EVula // talk // ☯ // 05:28, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
You're not going to threaten me with you personal vendetta due to your involvement in the edit war. The page is already blocked so I don't know what you are looking to accomplish by posting this on my page aside from knowing you are in the wrong. DOCTOREdna — Preceding unsigned comment added by DrEdna (talk • contribs) 05:37, 28 June 2013 (UTC)
- I warned you[1] two hours before it was locked.[2]
Claiming that you're a doctor has absolutely no bearing on your Wikipedia edits; you impress nobody with your credential dropping (partly because there's no way to verify that, and partly because your doctorate is irrelevant to a discussion about the merits of an image in an article's infobox). EVula // talk // ☯ // 15:21, 28 June 2013 (UTC)
You are very much are impressed and threatened by me at the same time. You have lashed out at me with every tool, resource and comment at your disposal. No offense--It's really quite clear I'm a subject matter expert, and you are well, not. DOCTOREdna — Preceding unsigned comment added by DrEdna (talk • contribs) 11:22, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
