Your submission at Articles for creation: Daylight (September 9)

[edit]
Your recent article submission has been rejected. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by Robert McClenon was: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: This draft has no independent references, and provides no evidence of corporate notability.

This draft is written from the viewpoint of the company, focusing on what the company says about itself. Corporate notability is based on what independent reliable sources have written about the company.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Daylight, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Request reason:

"Seems to be your only purpose" is an assumption, that is also not a fair statement. I had to go read a series of documents to be able to create the page, put online references in the article, was as impartial as possible and I'm told what I wrote is advertisement. Understood, you took it as advertisement (even though I disagree) - I will rewrite the article with whatever the guidelines you need, but blocking me is excessive.

Decline reason:

Your draft did little more than state that the company exists; that is considered promotional on Wikipedia, especially if written by someone with a COI as you have declared. If you are an employee of the company or otherwise paid by them to edit, you also need to comply with WP:PAID(this is a Wikipedia Terms of Use requirement). If you are just here to tell the world about your company, you will not be unblocked. If you want to edit about subjects outside of the area of your conflict of interest, please state what those might be. You will also probably need to agree to not directly edit about your company in order to be unblocked. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 13:56, 29 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I would add outside of the unblock request that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a forum to merely tell about a company. Wikipedia articles must have independent reliable sources with significant coverage(not press releases, basic announcements, staff interviews, etc.) that shows how the subject meets the relevant notability guidelines, in this case WP:ORG(please review). Wikipedia has no interest in what an article subject wants to say about itself. If you want to be a general Wikipedia contributor and edit outside of the area of your conflict of interest, please proceed as I state above. 331dot (talk) 13:56, 29 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
