Explanation of what vandalism is, timeline of your deletions with the exploding articles

[edit]

RE: [1]

Vandalism is never adding or removing material in a good faith manner. Dream Focus appears to be acting in a good faith manner. He is restoring the referenced material which you deleted, before or while the article was being put up for deletion.

Camponotus saundersi
nominated Camponotus saundersi for deletion. 13:51, 26 September 2009.[2]

Deleted: ==Footnotes== {{reflist}} 14:59, 26 September 2009.[4]
Deleted almost all of the text of the article, no reason given, tagged as "minor": "Its defensive behaviours include self-destruction by autothysis. Two oversized, poison-filled mandibular glands run the entire length of the ant's body. When combat takes a turn for the worse, the ant violently contracts its abdominal muscles to rupture its body and spray poison in all directions." 19:51, 26 September 2009.[5]
Deleted reference section, reason given "correcting": "* {{aut|Emery, Carlo}} (1889): Viaggio di Leonardo Fea in Birmania e regioni vicine. XX. Formiche di Birmania e del Tenasserim raccolte da Leonardo Fea (1885-87). ''Annali del Museo Civico di Storia Naturale Giacomo Doria (Genova)'' 2 '''7'''(27): 485-520. Various exploding creatures

[edit]

You seem to be on a bit of a mission to remove all trace of exploding animals from Wikipedia. I don't know what your motivation is for this, but this edit, removing references with an edit summary of "correcting", this edit, removing the {{tl:rescue}} tag with an edit summary of "canvassing" and this edit, removing content with no edit summary are disruptive, as they removed all the referenced content from the article - which you had nominated for deletion. Furthermore, the edit summaries make them dishonest. What exactly was your aim here?  pablohablo. 23:31, 26 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A word of caution

[edit]

It is to be remembered, that no matter your personal feelings on an article, if it has been listed at AfD and another editor has tagged it for ARS's assistance in improving the article, it is quite improper to remove the Rescue tag, as removal of such could itself be seen as disruptive to other's efforts to improve the encyclopedia. "Vandalism" to San Serriffe

[edit]

Hi Evosoho, can you explain your use of the word "vandalism" in the edit summary to three reverts you made to this article today? I don't understand. Best wishes Flapdragon (talk) 17:37, 27 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Arrr-mania listed at Redirects for discussion

[edit]

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Arrr-mania. Since you had some involvement with the Arrr-mania redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion (if you have not already done so). Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being minor in the usual way.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. With the script in place, you can continue with this functionality indefinitely (its use is governed by WP:MINOR). If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:44, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
