Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Caught by a colocation web host block but this host or IP is not a web host.

Decline reason:

I'm afraid we can't do anything about a block on an IP address unless you tell us what IP address it is. Please post a new unblock request giving us that information, which will be given in the message you see when you try to edit. Alternatively, if for any reason you prefer not to make your IP address publicly visible, you can request an unblock through the Unblock Ticket Request System. If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

This blocked user's request to have autoblock on their IP address lifted has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request.

Decline reason: Similar to the request above for lifting of a web host block. We can't do anything about an autoblock unless we know what autoblock it is. The notice you see telling you of the autoblock will give you information such as what blocked account is causing the autoblock, what administrator blocked it, and why. You will need to provide that information. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 13:41, 20 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I am able to edit using phone and 4G so it is not my user ID that is causing the block. My IP address is 185.152.0.0/23. Thank you. Fergie51 (talk) 15:07, 20 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

This is either a VPN or a "cloud accelerator". You'll need to disable that in order to edit here. Yamla (talk) 14:40, 26 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Are you using some kind of VPN or similar? Vanjagenije (talk) 15:35, 20 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

That range is owned by uk2 - a webhosting-only provider. I believe some sort of VPN/Anonymizer/other sort of anonymizing proxy is at play here, and would require a functionary to grant. SQLQuery me! 22:41, 20 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I was afraid it would be something of that nature. -- Dlohcierekim (talk) 23:35, 20 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
