Request reason:

I didn't do anything wrong, that image in particular was allowed to be used as creative commons since it had some rights reserved, if you look at the actual label of it it can be used for Wikipedia. I really want to know why it wasn't allowed, clearly it wasn't my intention but since many of you are out to get me then I've fulfilled my duties as a Wikipedia Editor and I quit! gOOD LUCK GETTING $$ TO SAVE YOUR SITE FROM ADS

Decline reason:

You can quit by simply not using this account; please do not use this template for anything other than requesting an unblock. Thanks. Kuru (talk) 01:54, 3 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

2= Guess what, I want to know why I was blocked! The image was under Creative Commons and It had no reason to be taken down, I uploaded a Dwyane Wade pick under Flicker and that one had no problem?? I no I cant use All Rights Reserved pictures and used one that was under Some Rights Reserved with Creative Commons capability, and if I dont get unblocked with all my hard work into pages Ive worked hard on such as Miami Beach Senior High and Florida Marlins, those pages will rot because no one fixes them up quite like I do, I wont use this account anymore and youve lost a contributor.
Please do no modify declined requests. Thanks. You are free to read your block reason, or any of the dozens of warnings you have removed from your page, or the very specific investigation linked above. The specific reason noted for the image you were finally blocked for was "File with improper license: source is CC-BY-NC-SA". Non-commercial licenses are not compatible with our license. Image[edit]

Hi. I just want to let you know that it is better to upload images to the Commons instead of Wikipedia. That way, other Wikimedia Foundation projects can use the same image. Thanks.—Chris!c/t 22:24, 31 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File:Kissoffriendssforever.jpg listed for deletion[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Marlins09Ballpark1.JPG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 08:35, 9 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

October 2011[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please be aware of Wikipedia's policy that biographical information about living persons must not include unsupported or inaccurate statements. Whenever you add possibly controversial statements about a living person to an article or any other Wikipedia page, as you did to Miami Beach Senior High School, you must include proper sources. If you don't know how to cite a source, you may want to read Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners for guidelines. Thank you. Secret account 04:14, 29 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I was going to upload a picture with the subject and the NFL Tight end. Here is the picture with him and his girlfriend: http://p.twimg.com/Ac4aUS_CAAAWz2Y.jpg:large That is the proof, I know the girl went to our school because if you go to Beach High and look at the yearbook you will see her. Look at the 2007, 2008 yearbook etc. She is in there. Only proof I can give you. Fredler Brave account 10:45, 29 October 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.3.238.166 (talk) [reply]

Hello, Fredler Brave, and thanks for your contributions to Wikipedia!

I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you worked on, Florida Marlins top Draft picks, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

It helps to explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you have any questions, feel free to ask on the Help Desk. Thanks again for contributing! – Muboshgu (talk) 16:23, 11 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Marlins colors[edit]

Please leave the Marlins' colors alone while which source will be used is discussed on the talk page. Thanks. CRRaysHead90 | We Believe! 17:02, 18 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

What did you think about the deletion notice you received?[edit]

Hi Fredler Brave,

In November you received a message about either "Nomination for deletion" or "Proposed deletion" of an article you created. I'd like to ask you a few quick questions:

  1. Was the message helpful? Were the instructions clear and easy to follow?
  2. If not, how do you think the message could be improved?
  3. What do you think about the deletion process in general? Do you understand how to contest a deletion?

You can feel free to answer on my talk page or send me your response by email (mpinchuk@wikimedia.org). (I won't quote you or link your answers to your username if you don't feel comfortable with that.) Your feedback is incredibly useful for improving the content of deletion notifications, so please take a minute to think about and answer these questions. Thank you! Disambiguation link notification[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited Miami Marlins, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Showtime (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:44, 1 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate the fact that you added all of that "features" information to the article. However, after looking at the reference link, it's pretty obvious to me that you simply copied and pasted it all without changing a single word. In case you're unaware, that is plagiarism and is completely unacceptable on Wikipedia, or anywhere for that matter. It can get you in big trouble, because it is a type of copyright infringement, and that can also get Wikipedia in big trouble. In the future, please DO NOT EVER copy and paste information directly from a source again, unless you change the wording in it. Like I said, I appreciate all the information that you added, but the way you did it is just a big no-no. Yankees Expert (talk) 22:51, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright problem: Marlins Park[edit]

Hi. Some of the content you added to Marlins Park has had to be removed, since the text seems to be copied and very closely paraphrased from [1]. While facts are not copyrightable, creative elements of presentation – including both structure and language – are. For an example of close paraphrasing, consider the following.

The source says:

In a pair of lengthy letters delivered to government attorneys Thursday, the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission gave the city and county until Jan. 6 to deliver everything from minutes of meetings between government leaders and Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria and Major League Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig, to records of Marlins finances dating back to 2007. In the almost-identical subpoenas, the SEC also requested documents concerning stadium parking garages built by Miami. The Miami Herald reported Nov. 22 that city leaders are now complaining they were hoodwinked into likely having to pay an annual $2 million tax bill on the garages.

As a website that is widely read and reused, Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously to protect the interests of the holders of copyright as well as those of the Wikimedia Foundation and our reusers. Wikipedia's copyright policies require that the content we take from non-free sources, aside from brief and clearly marked quotations, be rewritten from scratch. Much of this content has been taken verbatim, with some omissions and minimal alterations.

The essay Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing contains some suggestions for rewriting that may help avoid these issues. The article Wikipedia:Wikipedia Signpost/2009-04-13/Dispatches, while about plagiarism rather than copyright concerns, also contains some suggestions for reusing material from sources that may be helpful, beginning under "Avoiding plagiarism". Please also see Wikipedia:Copy-paste.

Please let me know if you have questions about this, as this does constitute a violation of our copyright policy and continued such edits are likely to lead to another block, perhaps an indefinite one. While the information is good, we do have to format it in compliance with copyright policies to retain it. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 17:13, 18 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:MarlinsHRFeature.png[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:MarlinsHRFeature.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Mosmof (talk) 06:21, 3 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:MarlinsParkDowntown.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:MarlinsParkDowntown.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Mosmof (talk) 06:28, 3 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Notification of automated file description generation[edit]

Your upload of File:CafetriaofMBSHS2009.jpg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. A tag has been placed on Fienberg-Fisher Elementary School requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a recently created redirect from an implausible typo or misnomer, or other unlikely search term.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.

"Fienberg-Fisher Elementary School" listed at Redirects for discussion[edit]

An editor has identified a potential problem with the redirect Fienberg-Fisher Elementary School and has thus listed it for discussion. This discussion will occur at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2022 May 27#Fienberg-Fisher Elementary School until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. 168.221.157.39 (talk) 13:34, 27 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
