License tagging for Image:Damien Leith.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Damien Leith.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 10:05, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

Updating tennis rankings

[edit]

Please do no update rankings on article pages, as you did on Anna Chakvetadze and Ana Ivanović , until they are officially declared by WTA. LeaveSleaves (talk) 05:48, 6 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with LeaveSleaves's message. Tennis expert (talk) 08:41, 6 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If the models you included in the male supermodel section were titled supermodels and models.com is a valid source stating them as supermodels, then add them back with that reference. Otherwise, they should not be added in with other models in the Supermodel article who have references attributing their supermodel status. Though, really, I'm sure that a few other models who have been included in that section need references to legitimately stay there as well. Flyer22 (talk) 17:56, 25 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article Henin – S. Williams rivalry has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

It is just a repository of results.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Nomination of Henin – S. Williams rivalry for deletion

[edit]

A discussion has begun about whether the article Henin – S. Williams rivalry, which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Henin – S. Williams rivalry until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.

You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Armbrust Talk Contribs 01:08, 5 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Montana Cox requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. ApprenticeFan work 06:37, 13 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

American Idol

[edit]

Hi, I reverted your table on American Idol because I think it is unnecessary. However, don't take it this as implying that I think it is a bad table (it looks OK), just that I think it bloats the page unnecessarily. If you really think that the table is useful, then do take it to discussion on the American Idol talk page, then we can decide if we want it, and if we do, what should be put in the table. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
