Hello, GFGearestFunk, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as User:GFGearestFunk, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies and may not be retained. In short, the topic of an article must be notable and have already been the subject of publication by reliable and independent sources.

Please review Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see Requested articles. If you are stuck, come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can help you through the processes.

General information about user pages and user talk pages.[edit]

User pages and User talk pages are intended only to assist collegiality among users. They are not to be used as a soapbox for writings not connected with the editorial process on Wikipedia. While we appreciate that you enjoy using Wikipedia, please note that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and

  • not a free webhosting service ,
  • not a personal website,
  • not a blog
  • not a social media site

Nor are user pages intended to host articles, CV's/resumés or lengthy autobiographies. Wikipedia is not a promotional venue or a place to post ads.

More information on user pages is available at THIS PAGE.

For article creation,[edit]

please use WP:AfC and request help at the TEAHOUSE. You can also seek help via IRC chat.

As Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, subjects of articles must meet notability guidelines with reliable sources which are unconnected with the subject and which provide verifiable information.

Thank you. UtherSRG (talk) 15:55, 1 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Use of userpages[edit]

Hello - just saw the note you left in your sandbox (for future reference, it's highly unlikely that people will see questions there, the help desk is better suited to questions). Feel free to edit your userpage like you did before, but do keep in mind that the purpose of the userpage is not to act as a hosting service, but as a page where you can draft articles, provide information about your Wikipedia activities (articles you wrote, etc.), or experiment with editing. A very limited amount of information about you personally is acceptable, but significantly less leeway is given to contributors with very few or no edits to articles. If you have any further questions, feel free to let me know by replying here or at my talk page. Tollens (talk) 18:57, 1 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Also, you can just tag your talk page with {{help me}} when you have a question and a friendly helper will come along to answer or direct you to a good place to ask. - UtherSRG (talk) 19:04, 1 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
