Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Centre for Women, Ageing and Media (WAM), and it appears to include material copied directly from http://insight.glos.ac.uk/RESEARCHMAINPAGE/CENTRES/WAM/Pages/default.aspx.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Slovenliness[edit]

How many Wikipedia articles had you looked at before you created yours? Have you any concept of encyclopedic style? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:12, 13 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright[edit]

Please note as well that it's not sufficient to claim on an article's talk page that you have the necessary copyright permissions to copy and redistribute the content in question — if we haven't explicitly been given the proper copyright permissions to retain the copied content, then it's still a copyright violation that still has to be deleted regardless of what rights you claim to have.

And even if the necessary permissions were filed, the article would still have to be rewritten for conformity with our content policies around neutral point of view and the use of reliable, independent sourcing — so even if you did file the proper copyright permissions, it would be kind of a moot point as the article would still have to be significantly revised away from the copyrighted version anyway.
