PirateSmackKArrrr! 18:10, 29 May 2009 (UTC) Speedy deletion nomination of Saint Evilasius (Executioner)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Saint Evilasius (Executioner) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag),

with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. PirateSmackKArrrr! 18:09 (6:09 P.M.), 29 May 2009 (May 29, 2009) (UTC)

Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles you created, as you did with Saint Evilasius (Executioner). If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please do the following:

  1. Place {{hangon}} on the page. Please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag(s).
  2. Make your case on the article's talk page.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 18:26, 29 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of 10 deadliest Texas Tornadoes

A tag has been placed on 10 deadliest Texas Tornadoes, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Proposed deletion of Page:Stephen Tyrone Johns

[edit]

The article Page:Stephen Tyrone Johns has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Wrong title. Stephen Tyrone Johns already exists as a redirect to United States Holocaust Memorial Museum shooting.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Security Guards murdered in terrorist incidents

A tag has been placed on Category:Security Guards murdered in terrorist incidents, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time. User:Hernaste

2000 Fort Worth tornado

[edit]

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaJump to: navigation, search Aerial view of the tornado damage in downtown Fort Worth (NWS Fort Worth)The Great 2000 Fort Worth Tornado occurred on March 28, 2000, moving eastward through the downtown area of Fort Worth, Texas (USA).

The tornado passed through the west side of Fort Worth at about 6:18 p.m. It tore a 4-mile (5-km) path through the city, blowing out windows and causing significant damage to many of the downtown high rise buildings. The tornado dissipated around 6:28 p.m., and at its worst, was approximately one-quarter mile wide (0.4 km). The tornado was classified as a low end F3 on the Fujita scale. Two people were killed by the tornado and 80 were injured, with six seriously injured. The heavy rain and hail that followed damaged many interior areas of buildings which were exposed by the tornado's winds.

The storm system spawned a second tornado which moved through Arlington and Grand Prairie. The second tornado caused a mile long track of damage mainly through residential areas, leaving 80 people homeless. The storm system caused approximately $500 million in damage to Tarrant County in year 2000 values.

A KXAS outdoor camera in downtown Fort Worth broadcast parts of the tornado coverage on live TV during the 6 p.m. weather segment.

This is not the first time the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex was hit by a significant tornado. Another notable tornado hit Dallas on April 2, 1957. That tornado was among the most photographed tornadoes of the 20th century. It killed 10 people. User:Hernaste
