Speedy deletion nomination of Hundred Years[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

A tag has been placed on Hundred Years requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. File copyright problem with File:Windows 95 first run.jpg[edit]

Copyright-problem.svg

Thank you for uploading File:Windows 95 first run.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Fred the Oyster (talk) 00:23, 7 March 2010 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of J. Reeta Jones[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article J. Reeta Jones has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

After searching, I cannot find any reliable sources to verify any of the information (per WP:BLP, WP:BIO). All I could find was a 1-line entry at grg.org, and a blog entry on wbtv. I can find no mention in any news articles.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.  Chzz  ►  08:20, 22 March 2010 (UTC)

AfD nomination of J._Reeta_Jones[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

An editor has nominated J._Reeta_Jones, an article which you have created or worked on, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/J._Reeta_Jones and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to address the nominator's concerns but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. DustiSPEAK!! 23:33, 22 March 2010 (UTC)

Removal of AfD notice from J. Reeta Jones[edit]

Please read WP:DP and WP:AfD. You cannot simply remove an AfD tag from an article before the discussion is formally closed following the procedures laid out on those two pages. I'm going to assume good faith and put it down to you not understanding how wikipedia works but you should know that what you did is considered unacceptable. Dpmuk (talk) 23:09, 28 March 2010 (UTC)

Minor edits[edit]

Can I suggest you read WP:MINOR. Many of the edits you have marked as minor do not appear to me to be so. For example, I would not consider changing a picture, adding a maiden name or adding to a list to be minor edits. Dpmuk (talk) 13:54, 4 May 2010 (UTC)

Franz Schleiff, Reginald H. Rusby, Leslie Powell, Charles Lavers, ..etc.[edit]

Orphaned non-free image File:Poodles Galore's Aerosol Can.JPG[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Poodles Galore's Aerosol Can.JPG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Image Screening Bot (talk) 06:00, 16 June 2010 (UTC)

Josef Armengol Jover[edit]

Regarding your comment below:

Josep Armengol Jpver was never validated by the Gunness Book of WSorld records nor by the Gernotology research Group; so, thus he either never existed or lied about his age.)

Actually he was accepted, posthumously, by the GRG, so your statement is NOT correct.Ryoung122 03:28, 9 August 2010 (UTC)

Eunice Sanborn[edit]

Hohho56oy,

Eunice Sanborn DID claim to be born in 1895, but this was discovered to be a minorly exaggerated age. The 1896 date is the CORRECT one. When anybody's age (especially for supercentenarians) has officially been debunked, there is no point in putting in the person's original claimed age.

Bottom line: Eunice Sanborn is NOT 115. She is only 114. BrendanologyContriB 11:38, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

Your contributed article, List of the oldest living verified people[edit]

Ambox notice.png

Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, List of the oldest living verified people. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - List of the verified oldest people. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will to continue helping improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at List of the verified oldest people - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 04:48, 19 September 2010 (UTC)

MfD nomination of Wikipedia:WikiProject World's Oldest People/Future supercentenarians[edit]

Wikipedia:WikiProject World's Oldest People/Future supercentenarians, a page you substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:WikiProject World's Oldest People/Future supercentenarians and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Wikipedia:WikiProject World's Oldest People/Future supercentenarians during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Proposed deletion of Marcelle Narbonne[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Marcelle Narbonne has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one reliable source that directly supports material in the article. The nominator also raised the following concern:

All biographies of living people created after March 18, 2010, must have references.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one.

Disambiguation link notification for March 10[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited Cora Hansen, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Jenner (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from List of last surviving World War I veterans by country. When removing content, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the content has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Ravenswing 01:54, 7 May 2012 (UTC)

August 2012[edit]

Hello, I'm TheJJJunk. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Besse Cooper without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. The removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. JJJ (talk) 02:57, 26 August 2012 (UTC)

ArbCom elections are now open![edit]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
